I've been using this mic for a few years, and didn't have a problem until I tried removing the clip. With next to no pressure from my fingers, the part that holds the mic to the clip broke apart. It's made of some of the most brittle plastic I've ever seen. Anything coming out of my cheap 3D printer is orders of magnitude more robust than this thing. I've treated this whole microphone setup extremely well, so it's very disappointing that a little piece of plastic now makes it impractical to use. I can jerryrig the clip so that the mic is clipped directly against my shirt, but that's lousy and inconvenient.Otherwise, the mic is perfectly adequate. Not amazing in terms of sound quality, but not half bad. If you are using this for your GoPro or a wireless setup like the Rode Go II, it will definitely help you improve your sound quality. If you want excellent sound and a clip that doesn't fall apart with no effort, look elsewhere.

Parfait. Livré à temps. Modèle TRS . Le microphone fit sur ma gopro héros 5. J'ai acheté pour le microphone seulement car l'adapteur est fait pour héros 4 et moins.

Bought this as I have recently purchased a GoPro Hero 4 Silver and am planning to record and document my motorcycle trips and needed a microphone for inside my helmet and an adaptor to fit the GoPro. The Movo GM100 lapelled microphone and adaptor was perfect for this job and certainly a cheaper option that a GoPro official item. The adaptor plugged straight in to the port on the side of the camera (note you will have to either drill a hole in the side of the GoPro case or purchase an aftermarket skeleton case, which is what I did) and it channeled the wiring from the microphone into the helmet. On my first test I found the voice recording to be more than adequate up to about 40-50 mph, but after that wind noise was an issue, which I will look to find a solution to. In summery this couldn't be simpler and worked without any messing around or requiring any adjustment in settings on the camera. Excellent product, highly recommend it.

I recently purchased this microphone to record engine noise under my hood for when I use my gopro hero 4. Before this microphone was purchased, I was getting sooo much wind noise from the standard gopro microphone that was built in. After the Movo mic arrived, I was able to mount my gopro on the car and do cool stuff like put the microphone inside the enigne bay to record my engine/supercharger noise or behind the car for exhaust sounds without the wind noise. The mic has a metal clip which has a nice tight grip on whatever I clamp it to. Overall I am very happy with this mic. It also came with the 3.5mm adapter to connect it to the gopro hero 4 silver. No static issues or popping noises, it worked perfectly the 1st time. I used this with the gopro skeleton case sold separately.

This is a great little mic and a bargain at under $20 bucks. I recently paired it with a wireless mic system (transmitter & receiver) that I'll be using with a couple different camera setups I have. I've always been underwhelmed with the audio from built in mics on camcorders, DSL's, GoPros, etc.The wireless system I purchased included a lapel mic that looks identical to the Movo GM100. But that's where the similarities end. I did a quick little test video, comparing the two, and the Movo GM100 performs much, much better than the one packaged with the wireless system. The Movo sounds very natural, full, and articulate, and it generated significantly higher levels as well. I didn't notice any unwanted background noise. Just pure, clean audio. It sounds like what you'd expect from a full-on professional system. The clip is very sturdy and the mic seems very rugged as well. I'd say ignore the low price and 'no-name' brand and let your ears be your guide. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

For $20 it can't be any good, right? The quality has to be a joke, right? That's what I thought.I have bought several LAVs in the $150-$250 price range but wasn't happy with the performance with any of them. Always getting a small hiss, hum, or electronic feedback. Really frustrating. To get a clear recording has been an excercise is positioning the lav and transmitter "just right". I was still going into Adobe Audition and removing unwanted noise. A big pain in the rear.On a whim, I bought one of these thinking I could use the GoPro adapter and a cheap mic anyways for clearer syncing. I was SHOCKED that this mic had better sound than anything else I tried. Shocked.Using Rodelink and H4n, there is no background noise...and the subject's voice is clean and crisp. The next day I bought three more. I'm still rolling my eyes at all my wasted time searching for a "better" lav.I haven't used this on a GoPro yet, probably won't.JUST BUY THIS THING AND BE DONE WITH IT.

For the price, this lav/adapter combination is among the most cost efficient deals you can get. Been searching around for quite awhile for an adapter for my GoPro Hero 4 silver, and everything before this one never worked. Read all the other reviews and they've been pretty inconsistent so I was hesitant to get this brand. Here are the pros and cons I found when I was testing it out:Pros:- Extremely affordable compared to other lavs and the original GoPro adapter- The build of the adapter itself is amazing, the cable is hefty and is incredibly stiff and rigid- The adapter works with other mics as well, not just the lav that it comes with- The lav has really good gain, nice and crispy sound for the price- No nonsense setup - plug it in and you're good to goCons:- The lav has an incredibly short wire making it impossible to shoot farther out and avoid showing the wire on screen- Noticed an extremely faint and incessant clicking noise in the background. Not too big of an issue IF you know how to fix it in post- As with all non battery powered mics, the lav has no gain control and the GoPro doesn't as well so you'll have to control your voice as it is incredibly sensitive- Picks up shirt noise and other bodily noises frequentlyOverall, the mic is great! 4/5 stars

I've bought it as lavalier mic for my Zoom H2n, and if it is also your case, know that it works perfectly with voice recorders with TRS 3,5 mm jack input (before purchase I got information from Movo itself, that it wolud not work, because it was designed for GOPRO cameras, but I decided to buy and try, and it works just perfectly) :)Mic sounds great, don't need external power source (it is powered up from my Zoom recorder, great sensitivity, great voice characteristic, no swishing ect. Just great. For that price it is real bargain! Cable is a liitle short for lavalier (c.a. 1m) but it is not a problem in my case because I use it with voice recorder anyway. For me - 5 star product, no doubt about it.
