This is an amazing microphone for the price. For those who aren't saying this is good, they either have a faulty mic or are just giving false reviews.FOR A SOUND QUALITY COMPARISON TEST: WATCH MY REVIEW VIDEO ON YOUTUBE - Search " Romsicle Comica"Features:- Supercardioid pattern (Records mainly to the front)- Removable wind filter (Good quality)- Coil cable, short and sweet- Tactile Switch for Mode Selector- Rubber compound stabilizer (flexible)For DSLR users: It must be on the camera mode or there will be NO audio recorded when plugged in.For Smartphone users: Switch to Smartphone mode BEFORE you plug it in or you'll use the stock microphone instead. If it had a removable cable, it would be perfect.Amazing sound quality and is on par with the Rode Videomic Go with some specs being even better than the Rode mic. Guaranteed sensitivity increase in comparison to your stock microphones. Also looks amazing IRL. Definitely a good purchase. 10/10 would recommend.

SUMMARY• Good audio• Light weight• Phone compatiblePRODUCT INFO and PACKAGINGThe product came as expected and was packaged well. The instructions were clearly written. Operation was easy: set the switch for phone or camera, plug it in, and it is ready to go.AUDIOI reviewed this mic in a video on my YouTube channel, and the audio quality clearly indicates that it does a good job of capturing the sound clearly. It was slightly superior to the camera on-body microphones, and as compared to the built in mics of the iPhone 8 Plus, it was vastly superior. One noteworthy aspect is that it claims to be a condenser microphone. According to the Shure website and all my life's experience, condenser mics require a power supply to operate the circuitry. This mic uses no batteries. If it is, indeed, a condenser mic, I cannot imagine where the power comes from.Nevertheless, it is:1.) sensitive2.) essentially noise free, and it3.) accurately reproduces the audio.Again, the video clearly indicates this as it is tested against built-in mics and another shotgun mic.PHONE AND CAMERA USEPerhaps the feature that most impressed me is that it is compatible with phones. Its plug is a four conductor plug, just like those on mic/earbud sets. Thus, (when the mic is switched to camera mode) it works with my iPhone (I have a lightning to headphone jack adapter; see photo. The audio quality of the mic was far better than the built-in audio. It is extremely light, so this will make it a good candidate for vlogging purposes. It will also work well on light tripods.I can easily be mounted using either the cold-shoe or the standard threading: it will mount to the flash bracket or a standard tripod screw.OVERALLMy only concern is durability. Apart from the screw on the bottom, it is entirely made of hard plastic. While care of use should result in a long life, I am left to wonder how it will hold up.It will not replace my current condenser mic in most situation, but it will definitely be part of my daily use items. As I produce videos for YouTube, it will be my go-to audio solution when filming on the iPhone. It will, in fact, open a new facet of video wherein I walk and talk relying on the iPhone's light weight and built in image stabilization. I will probably locate an attachment accessory for my DJI Osmo Mobile that I can use to attach this mic.
