I've been looking for a good quality microphone like this. I use it on on my insta360 Ace Pro camera rig. It's perfect for when you aren't using a lav mic and you're spinning the camera back and forth in your hand between selfie record and turning the camera back to your subject. Excellent audio quality for the money.

Not 5 stars because audio quality and noise floor could be much better but convenience may outweigh hassle of fixing audio in post. People complain about the cord being permanently attached but to me it's one less thing to fish around for and if you've ever been at a shoot and can't find the stupid TRRS wire or you forget whether you need TRS or TRRS and you waste time connecting and experimenting then you may find as I do that it's actually a plus.With my RODE & Comica mics I sometimes start talking behind the camera only to realize I forgot to flip the mic around but with this Movo I keep the switch in the center position and change it when I need to focus front or rear. You will not use this filming a NETFLIX full feature film but for family & YouTube stuff I find it adequate. My Rode Video Micro sounds better than this Movo DoubleMic V2 Two-Sided Shotgun Mic but the MOVO gets the job done.

Mir gefiel die Idee mit dem Doppelmikro. Ton von vorne aufnehmen, dazu hinter der Kamera live kommentieren. Der Ton ist auch nicht schlecht. Jetzt bei etwas Wind vor die Tür. Fellschutz drauf und - es knattert wie bei meiner Kamera mit den internen Mikros. Gute Idee, leider mangelhafte Umsetzung.

This doublemic by move is the accessory I didn't realise I needed until I got it. Sound quality is soooo much better with this baby! It took me a few minutes to understand how to configure the settings to my liking but once I did I was more than pleased with the enhanced sound quality.

I attached this to a Gopro10, and created some clips comparing the audio using the internal mic vs this mic (using the Gopro mic adapter). This Movo DoubleMic V2 appears to work fine, but - at least in my experiments - did not do any better than the internal mic. I tried it both close up, and at distances up to 20 feet, and I just didn't notice any difference.

Ok, so I had doubts that this would do what I wanted. My problem when shooting videos if I turned the camera would lose much audio. Put this mic on top and it works well with no more low audio when shooting videos.

Update: Dead Cats don't fit well. Lost one first time out and the microphone is very sensitive to wind noise. Will have to find something to replace or the mic is pretty much worthless on outside shoots.Really happy with the ease of use and the ability to switch between iPhone and camera feed with a switch instead of changing cables. Good sound on the iPhone and camera.

I bought the Movo DoubleMic V2 because I needed a mic for my phone and camcorder to get a better quality audio and to dampen the click sounds made when touching the device and the controls during the operation. And after reading all the reviews and seeing the five star rating, I thought I've found what I was looking for.But this mic was a disappointment. It did not make any difference in audio quality when used with my Moto-Z4 cellphone. Not even after using a third party audio app. And when I used it on my Sony FDR-AX53 camcorder, the audio was muddy and muffled. You could hear a low bass hum every time the mic would shake even a bit in its rubber housing. Not only that, but it was actually picking up all the clicking sounds when my fingers would touch the device. You would have to lower the volume manually to cancel out the ambient sounds. But then you wouldn't hear any of the subtle sounds of your subject.I like the housing and the design. It seems like a solid product. But all that matters is the quality of the audio, and this mic does not deliver. I've already returned it.

Using the mike for 2 way communication broadcasts on the web & it is an excellent unit. Crystal clear & very sensitive. I recommend this mic.
