I put this out on my kitchen counter with very high hopes despite it being rather noisy. This morning I was surprised to see my little friend had not only left some turds around the noisemaker, but dookied right on top of it. I don't know if these work on some critters but I'll be getting my trusty have-a-heart traps back out then go crazy with the essential oils.

Just arrived and powered. Pressure wave is silent but only recommended for mice. Ultrasonic wave is quiet but can be heard and is recommended for rats and squirrels. Electromagnetic waves are definitely audible and would be annoying in an occupied area. I will try to update my review in a few weeks and let you know if it works.

It's only been a few days and the mice are noticeably gone; or way less in numbers. They were destroying all our food and rummaging thru everything, dropping lots of poop in their wake. You could hear them very active at night. Nothing really notable since plugging in this device, though. This thing seems to be working very well!

I installed this mouse deterrent two days ago. After reading the product literature and reviews, I am optimistic that it will do an excellent job repelling mice away from a very critical mechanical room in our home. The device has four speakers that project sound throughout a reasonably large attic space. I am optimistic that it will protect the whole area where numerous HVAC, in-floor heating pipes, and electrical wires are located. I was able to slightly hear some of the lower frequencies admitted by the device in its default mouse prevention mode. It was clear that we had a mouse problem, not a rat or bat problem, so I did not need to use the other two modes I clearly heard sounds when testing the bat prevention mode. Our home had evidence of a very recent mouse infestation and I think I solved the problem before it became a long-standing. I was able to catch three mice before installing the product. After installing the product, no additional mice apparently and because the morning after installed this device. Time will tell how effective this device is, but I’m optimistic that it will be very useful. Once I am certain that no mice have entered within the next two or three weeks, I will carefully install copper mesh tubing into any pencil size or larger cracks or crevices where mice may have been able to enter our home.

Have had it in the roof for 24 hours now and haven’t heard any scuffles or noises coming from the roof. Looking forward to not having rodents in the roof. Have dogs so I had to use a method that would not jeopardize my dogs.
