I had previously purchased another dual monitor stand, but the arms are fixed and you can't adjust them other and up/down for both monitors without adjusting them together. That was an issue for me because I own 2 monitors that are not the same. The brackets on the back made them vertically offset and it just didn't look right. Although I had that stand for a while, I came to a point where the stand had to be replaced. I spend a fair amount of time gaming and having my monitors at the same eye level is almost a must. It is just an annoyance that I don't want or need. After buying this monitor stand that issue was taken care of immediately after setup. I would also say that it probably took about the same amount of time to install both of thoe stands. However, this one is far superior. I use two 27" monitors and they fit perfectly fine side-by-side. Honestly, I probably wouldn't go any larger that that for this stand. The weight of my monitors with this stand is a non issue for me. I dont know what they weigh, but not enough for it to be a problem even in the slightest. The gas struts have be adjusted a little when first setting up, but once that is done they are pretty much good to go. I don't find them shifting around much/often. Which is something I was kind of concerned with happening. The price was right, the shipping was fast and this product is a perfect addition to my "PC gaming setup". Just another piece of the puzzle that I don't have to worry about anymore. 10/10 would recommend and I honestly don't really have anything negative to say about this product. Great job and I would undoubtedly purchase this again.

Not a paid review. The clamp version seems secure enough to not need to drill a hole even though I could tried both. The clamp version just worked better for placement issues. Very sturdy.Super easy to set up. Read reviews and make sure you know which way to turn Allen wrench to adjust things etc. It's super easy to use, follow instructions etc. Enjoy.

ok, first i'm an engineer, so i tried really hard to make this work. I have two 32" viewsonic monitors, one a bit older (2020) that is listed about 0.5 lb lighter. So, I go to install and it's actually pretty solid and easy to assemble... pretty intuitive. note that the adhesive foot pads are not individual, but in a single square where you punch out the circles... the parts list shows four circle pads... took a second for me to figure that out, but not a biggie.Install and hang the first monitor, great. set the gas spring to max and it holds everything in place.install and hang the second (newer, 0.5 lb heavier) monitor and the arm can't hold the mass. just bottoms out even with the gas spring set to max... the screw doesn't come out any further. ok, i can deal with that, maybe set something under the monitor to hold it at the height i want... but then it tilts over. I am cranking the set screw to hold it in place Anymore and I'd have to go grab an air drill or a long arm torque wrench. it just does not want to hold the monitor up. so i loosen and retighten per the troubleshooting instructions in the manual (yes I read it). Crank again. Crank again. Kinda worried I'm going to start stripping the set screw. holds for a few seconds then droooooops... sad. ok, one more try... crank crank crank... and it holds! I set a small speaker under the monitor to hold it in place (vertically and rotationally). So it is advertised as 17.6 lb (8kg if you were wondering why the weird number) supported weight on each arm. These are 14.5 and 15 lb monitors... at least 17% margin which is more than reasonable. So, I start reviews out at 3 stars which is the 'it works as advertised and an ok price' point for me.So I like the overall design and concept. bonus star for that. Overall it is easy to install... maybe extra half star for that.Price is fair, so no modification.Minus one star for both arms not being able to support essentially a 15 lb monitor. I mean one does and the other doesn't.The other thing to note is that the older monitor has the VESA high and the new one has the VESA set low (below the center line) so I can see how it may have a higher rotational moment arm than it was designed for... MAYBE. A locking mechanism rather than a set screw would be a superior design... literally something with teeth.Actually the VESAs at separate heights was a reason I purchased this product... the cheaper products that have the VESAs held at the same height would have made the monitors vertically offest or I would have had to purchase two identical monitors. So, if you are adding a second different monitor, that could would be a good reason to purchase this product. So, overall 3.5-4 stars. If you are running lighter monitors, you may be very happy and I can see my way back to 4.5 stars. If it is on sale or has additional coupons, may be 5 stars for a 27" or smaller set of monitors... but i got this because it advertised 32" monitor support.Overall I'm CONTENT with the purchase, mostly because I had high hopes that the product was as advertised... which it mostly is.If the manufacturer wants to provide a replacement arm to see if maybe I just received a 3-sigma low performing one, I'm happy to revise my review.
