Bought this for when my daughter is in the vehicle and im doing farm chores. Easy to use and small enough to fit in my pocket without being bulky. I like that it comes with two chargers and a really nice carry case. It is a staple to my diaper bag.

The "connection lost" sound is very quiet and barely audible. This is important if the battery dies or is out of range or for other reasons. I would probably sleep through it and I would likely miss it if I was awake and in a noisy area. Also, there is no way to adjust the sensitivity, which is a bit disappointing. This might be a VTech-only feature. I will be returning it and am surprised to see that I have to pay for return shipping for a product that did not meet my expectations.

I wanted a secondary monitor to use in and around the house, and this works perfectly. Now my little one can fall asleep anywhere, and I can leave him there to get stuff done around the house with peace of mind.Sound quality is good. You can hear everything and adjust the level. I do wish there was a sound indicator light you could toggle on or off all the time without having to mute the audio, but that's my only gripe. The battery lasts long enough for my use, which is mostly just for naps and such during the daytime.I love that it is USB-C rechargeable and it does work with most of the chargers that I already had at home (plus it comes with 2 extra chargers).

We needed something like this for our summer cabin. It's off-grid, and we enjoy sitting outside in the evenings. These worked perfectly. The range is just far enough for what we need. We don't need them overnight, just for nap times. They held a charge for a few days, and needed a recharge about mid-week. They are very simple, so they transmit all the time, thus the short battery life that others are reporting. They charge fairly quickly, we were able to do so with a GoalZero portable solar charger without issue. We did not try any other chargers, so I can not speak to the charger issues that others have raised. You do need to be within sight range of the home unit for it to work, in our simple cabin this was not an issue, but it might be difficult with a more modern home or RV setup. We tested them at home, and with the windows open and line of sight they worked, but as soon as we stepped away into another room they did not work as well, but this is stated very clearly in the discription.I would not suggest in a hotel or regular house unless it's a connected room situation. They work on very basic walkie-talkie technology.I will be buying a set for a friend's baby shower as they are avid outdoor people, and these took forever to find in all the fancy options out in the world.

Updating the review after using it for a few months:Battery doesn’t last a whole night. Which may be fine if you’re home but definitely not okay for camping.Another issue is, You’ll be woken up MOTN, if the units are not plugged in, by the beeping sound alerting you of the low battery issue. Ugh.Then my dog chewed one of the charging cables and the units will not charge with any other cables that aren’t the original Motorola. I can’t find a place to buy another original cable to replace it, which means only one of the units can be plugged in all night - and now we’re woken up by the low battery beep of the unplugged unit. So this monitor is only useful during power outages if you don’t have both cables (unless you don’t mind being woken up by the low battery beeping sound). Frustrating.Still, this is the only baby monitor I could find with rechargeable, however short-loved, batteries.—All the other baby monitors I could find would have only the parent unit as battery operated and never the baby unit. When on travel (or during power outages), it was extremely frustrating. Now this product solves all those issues! It’s lightweight and super easy to bring along, comes with a carry bag, good sound quality, and decently priced. Motorola used to have a nanny cam that had a battery too but it didn’t last a year. I was very disappointed in that. Now, I can’t speak for the durability of this one yet but I do like that it’s rechargeable and since it doesn’t have a screen, I am hoping it will last a while!

These were the only monitors I could find that didn’t require the baby’s unit to be plugged into power. We dry camp often, so that wouldn’t work for us.These work very well - connectivity/range, quality of sound, and battery have all been great so far. I can put kiddo down in the camper and take the parent unit outside and even a couple campsites away. They also work great to quickly and easily deploy at home to get some yard work done during nap time.My only wish was that the parent unit had a clip or wrist loop option. If I’m in jeans and a tee, I have to hold the entire place or set down near me. During colder months, it’s easy to pop into a sweatshirt or jacket pocket.

Really pleased with these audio baby monitors! Their sensitivity to sound, long battery life, and portability are definitely standout features. They have exceeded my expectations and I use them a lot more than I thought I was going to.

We like audio monitors for travel and even at home, and this one is so far the best we ever had! The sound is clear and loud, super portable! We charge it when we are not using it, so far the battery life is good enough for us. I do wish we can use normal USB-C for it, it doesn’t make too much sense for me that we only can use the USB-C cord they provide. Here are the notifications you need to know as below: ( Suggestions from their customer service)1. The unit must be charged with the USB-C cord made for the device other USB-C devices may harm the device.2. You should charge the Unit for 16 hours and the Charge will last for 10 hours.3. The Unit cannot be charged when magnetized together and when magnetized together will automatically turn all power off and will not allow you to charge both devices.
