We use our monitor for my husband who has had strokes and suffers dementia. I can hear him and keep tabs all day and night.

The volume control only works when it feels like it, the battery dies after an hour or so. Returning it.

I am a full-time care taker for my dad with dementia. He spend most of his time laying in bed so I use the baby monitor to listen for him tobcall for me to come help him get up.There is no white noise from the parent unit when he is quiet. It doesn't alert if he just yells out once (which is great because he will randomly yell once in his sleep).It is loud enough that I can hear it in my pocket has a great range for when I take my kids out to the driveway to catch the school bus.The only dislike I have is sometimes it will randomly disconnect for like 3 seconds but not often enough to be a problem.

It’s a basic monitor that does what it’s supposed to without any set up, simple to use and easy to take on a trip. Sound quality isn’t great but it doesn’t have to be as long as sensitivity is adequate, and it is. Range for my larger-than-average house and yard has been no issue. I like the temperature reading function. The built in night light is minuscule but at least it’s there and it’s probably good enough. The battery function of the receiver allows more freedom of movement. Don’t need a video to know whether the baby is up. Overall this unit has all the necessary function in cost effective and portable package. Happy with the purchase.

I enjoyed this product and had no issues with it. The only thing that went wrong was the weather. My home completely flooded in Asheville , so, we no longer have it. Once we find a new home I hope to purchase it again.

I’m a first time mom and added this to my baby registry. I chose this one because I didn’t want/need video, I just wanted something with audio and good range. I’ve used it for almost two months now and it’s great! One of the best features for me is the monitor figures out the noise level in the room and turns “off”, then comes back on when the noise level rises, usually when the baby cries. It’s made mom life easier!

Very disappointed with this product from Motorola. How hard can it be to make a basic monitor that works? The buttons don't work when pressed making it nearly impossible to adjust the volume etc. The system is more complicated than necessary to figure out and barely there instructions don't help much. The nightlight is only adjustable from the parent unit which is impracticle. Tried testing the parent to baby speaker- again same problem with the buttons; sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. How can I rely that I can use it to communicate? All in all a very cheaply made product and will be returning it.
