The product looked solid and well built, till I tried to use it. When clamped onto the trip and brake lever, I realised that the two portions (upper n lower) has a play, whereby it is not aligning to lock. I struggled to lock it several times and didn't succeed.So it is now used as a lock on the handle grip to lock my helmet. But not able to pick with the brake lever in place. So now it is basically an expensive helmet lock.

Serious device that is simple to stow in a backpack and easy to use. Totally effective in locking your helmet to your bike and simultaneously locking the front brake. Ingenious!Get it and worry not.

I got this so I wouldn’t have to store my helmet in my seat. The first one I ordered, I couldn’t get the cable in the notch. Replacement was easy and quick. The next one was a bit looser, but still challenging to use (I’m not a power lifter, but have a reasonable grip strength). After using it a few times, I bought a rack and box to store my helmet - it’s not really worth the hassle. With continued use, it will break in, but I’m not that patient. Neat idea, though, and I still use it occasionally when going to the grocery store.

The tolerance of trying to engage the lock is so tight that with a helmet hanging off the cable, it is impossible to press the lock cylinder. I spent 20 minutes trying to get it to work and never succeeded. The only time it worked was when there was no helmet and the lock was not on the throttle. In other words it worked fine when it was sitting on a table. But when you are parked and your riding buddies are off to the restaurant, they would be seved and finished by the time you got this piece of crap working.

I recently picked up the SKYJDM Motorcycle Lock for my e-bike and electric scooter, and I've been thoroughly impressed with its design and functionality. The vibrant red color isn’t just stylish; it serves as a clear visual deterrent, signaling to potential thieves that my ride isn’t an easy target.Installing and adjusting the lock to fit various sizes of grips and levers was straightforward thanks to its smart hinge design. The lock comes with two keys and engages and disengages easily, although setting it up requires a bit of balancing, especially when using the additional helmet lock. It’s a tad bulky to fit comfortably in a pocket as some ads suggest, but that’s a minor gripe given its solid construction.I've found it incredibly useful for quick stops into stores, providing that extra peace of mind. While no lock is unbreakable, this one does offer a significant deterrent, making it more difficult for someone to quickly walk away with my bike or scooter. The metal end of the cable that is supposed to fit in the slot on the lock, doesn't fit. It's too big and or the slot is too small. I didn't want to hassle with a return so I filed the cable slot on the lock. Making it big enough for the cable to fit. Fair warning.

I put this on my electric scooter, and while it certainly wont stop someone from walking away with the scooter it at least deters people and the bright red lock on the throttle and brake is a great place to display a notice the unit is GPS tracked. Its not a perfect solution but its low effort for decent teft prevention.Note: I couldn't get the helmet cable to fit in the device, seemed like something was out of spec. But not a big deal for me as my helmet has a removable lower anyways so it wouldn't have really helped.

We have an 80s vintage Yamaha Big Bear ATV that isn't particularly well secured and we were looking to just make it a little bit more difficult for anybody to walk away with it. This was a super simple solution to make it more difficult.The aluminum is very beefy and has a substantial weight, and the anodizing is well done. It was easy to install and adjust the bushings for the various sizes of grips and levers. It's a very smart design in how it hinges. I chose the red because it’s obvious that there's a lock on it and might dissuade somebody looking for an easy target. The lock has two keys and is quite easy to engage and disengage. It takes a little bit of balancing to get everything together including the helmet lock but it's not difficult.I didn’t have any issues with being able to slide it off on my ATV. One concern is possibly losing one of the bushings after the lock is removed. It might fall out but that would be easily solved by putting a simple piece of tape over top. It's probably a little bit large to be popping in a front or back pocket as suggested in the ad..Hopefully, I'll never have to find out how effective it is. With enough force, I'm sure it could be broken open. However, it buys you an extra little bit of time and makes it more difficult to walk away with it easily. It's a simple deterrent and worth it.I can easily recommend the lock.

Having been a long time motorcycle disc lock user, when I saw this throttle/brake lock I knew I just had to have it.I use two Xena disc locks but because they are low and tucked under sometimes they can't really be seen.Security devices that are visible should be part of being a theft deterrent.That was the main reason I chose the red one. And the fact it's high up on the grip is why I bought this.Fitting was easy as it comes with 4 different sized rubber grommets. Only beef here are the grommets don't sit very securely in the grooves of the inside housing. I can see them easily falling out.I will use double sided tape to keep them secure.The lock comes with 2 keys and a cable to secure your helmet.Everything worked great and the red lock is so easily seenOut of curiosity, I tried this on my ebike too and it also fit quite nicely.With the brake lever engaged inside the lock the wheel won't spin. Therefore anyone trying to roll it away will be impossible.For the cyclists/ebike riders the total weight including cable is 435 grams which is not too bad though a bit bulky to carry. When not in use, mount it sideways to your seat post or hanging downwards from handlebar.

Works perfectly and very easy to use. Keeps my helmet too so I don't have to bring it into work/class. Not sure how durable it may be but it's a perfect deterrent for most people who aren't even gonna try it.

Would’ve given it 5 stars but the lock is a little challenging to position just right to actually lock. Once you do get it on there it’s great! Love the color and the fact that my helmet can be secured. Not heavy.
