I absolutely love this craft hoop frame for my punch needle stitching—it has completely elevated my crafting experience! The quality is top-notch: sturdy yet lightweight, and it holds my fabric tightly without any slipping or shifting, so I can focus on my stitching without any frustration. The smooth edges are gentle on my hands, even during longer crafting sessions, which is a big plus. What I really appreciate is the adjustable tension feature. It makes setting up my fabric so easy and ensures it stays taut throughout the project, giving me smooth, even stitches every time. Whether I’m working on small designs or larger pieces, this hoop provides the perfect stability and control I need.Plus, the design is simple and sleek, making it both functional and aesthetically pleasing on my craft table. If you’re a punch needle enthusiast or just getting into it, this hoop is an absolute must-have. It’s durable, easy to use, and helps me get the best results with every project. Highly recommend!

I picked up a cross stitch project that I started almost 30 years ago. However, my eyes aren't what they were all those years ago, so trying to hold the hoop at just the right distance so I can see where to make the stitch has become a challenge. This lap stand makes a big difference. I no longer have to use one hand to hold the hoop up close as I work to find where to place the needle. Much sturdier than I expected.

Makes stitching easier having it raised off my lap

This is a great hoop for embroidery work. It holds the fabric very tight so it does not sag when working. I like the two different sizes of hoops. I would recommend this hoop.

This is a sturdy product, much sturdier than thin wooden hoops. However, the first time I used one, it was for a project the size of the hoop. This was a big mistake, since the system that makes it possible to use these as a frame includes 3 plastic circles around the edges -- as a result I had a hard time embroidering right to the edge of the hoop. I solved the problem by using the larger hoop for the project, so that the area I as working on was well within the edging.

This is a great option as I can use both sides, depending on my project size, and still use it on my lap. I bought this for a few smaller punch rug projects that are too small for my frame and it holds it tight for my work. The wooden frames can’t match the fit and hold like this one. I wonder if the legs will work with holding other size frames too….

I use this for rug hooking. I can center a 10” x 10” pattern on the 10 inch side, no problem! It is much sturdier than the hoops that you can buy in a dollar store. Easy to assemble/disassemble. The no-slip feature keeps base material tight. I have also purchased the Morgan 12” hoop on it’s own, for larger projects.

I have been learning how to do punchneedle via utube, and noticed many experts use this type of embroidery hoop. It is double sided so it can rest in your lap, so you don't have to hold it while trying to work. I bought the 7 and 10 inch size. I looked at the 10 and 14 inch size, and if you were using the 10 side, the 14" side seems too big to fit on your lap. Works great. They recommend using a piece of scrap fabric on the hoop you aren't using so it will sit on your lap securely. It is the greatest invention. no fatigue from trying to hold a hoop and work. For punchneedle, I don't think you could even do it without one of these gadgets. Highly recommended for anyone doing crafts where you need to use a hoop.

I like the product very much, because I can get really tight tension on the fabric. Unfortunately, the holders that take on the stand rods are placed on the inner ring, where they interfere in three places with the stitching/punching area (see picture). They should have been placed on the outer ring, where they wouldn't bother at all. Shows that people designed this who never do any stitching. The idea is great but the implementation of the stand is just horrible. I will saw off the holders for the stand and somehow design a way to use them on the outer ring. Just sad, because I only realized this dilemma when I almost punched into the plastic of the holder. Now, I have to take out the project and turn the fabric to needle punch the rest of the project. Because of the loopy backside, I just hope that clamping the fabric anew wouldn't squish the loops already there. What a shame.PS: I corrected my star rating because I did find out, that I could move the fabric and turn it to fill in the areas I could not during the first session. Also, the project was not harmed by it. Next time, I will just use a bigger piece of fabric, then mark the outline of the smaller ring and switch it to the larger ring. This is a good work-around but I still think, that the design of the hoop should not need work-arounds. Using a bigger piece of fabric makes me pay for the extra fabric when the problem lies in the design of the stand. I still am Ok with the product because of the extra ordinary capability to put great tension on the fabric. Because the product is not that expensive, I'll shut up now and hope, that the company will come out with an improved design soon.

I wasn't at all sure about this purchase but I'm glad I took the chance. I can sit and quilt with this on my lap and don't have to struggle to support the weight of the quilt with my left hand. So much easier! The size is just about right, too. A decent area without being overwhelming.
