I really like the way this needle felting kit was packaged! The materials for each cat was packed in a separate plastic bag and was clearly labeled with a number that matches the number on the instruction sheet for that cat. This makes it so much easier to figure out how much to use for each item so I don't use too much for one cat and run out for another. The wool is clean and well combed so it is smooth and ready to use.The instructions sheet is not in color but the detailed photos of each step makes it easy to follow along. With each cat having its own instruction sheet and little bag of materials it is possible to have a small group get together and have each person make their own cat if additional needles and pads are sourced. That sounds like such a fun craft day with friends.While an older child could make the cats, I feel more comfortable keeping this as an adult craft because of the sharpness of the needles that are stabbed into the wool roving over and over until the roving felts and holds into the desired shape.Everything needed to create the six adorable little multi-colored wool cats!

This kit has everything you need to make the cats shown, so it's very beginner-friendly. The materials for each cat is in its own labeled baggie, making it very easy to make sure you don't overuse materials across the different kitties. I have freeform needle felted before, but this kit is nice and very easy to follow. I'm fine using the photo instructions included, but it's very nice that a link is included to video tutorials for those who follow better that way. And finally, the "birth certificate" included for each cat is a nice touch, making the finished product great for gifts if you can bring yourself to part with them!

This is a fun way to get an introduction to needle felting. There are six projects included, and I really appreciate that the wool for each cat is individually packaged, and there are separate instructions for each cat. This makes it perfect for a group activity if you add a few more supplies, like extra needles and felt pads. A few of the tools can be saved a reused with other felting kits too, like the finger cots to protect your fingertips from the very sharp needles. I think this kit is beginner friendly since it shows step by step how to make the figure. I didn't have any trouble following along with it. If you get stuck you just have to scan the qr code to watch a video tutorial.

This looks like it has plenty of material for felting. It comes with directions, tools, and a base/cushion. I think this kit would work well for a beginner or experienced crafter.

You'll receive: Six zipped bags of the roving (fluff) needed for six different cats. It's stratified by color, and a pair of teeny plastic eyes is included in each bag. Already very cute and satisfying to look at, if you're someone who likes craft supplies! The kit also includes a pad for doing the felting against, and a hard plastic box with felting needles of different sizes, two handles for the interchangeable needles, and two leather-like thimbles. The box includes six fold-out leaflets showing in words and pictures how to make each kind of cat shown on the cover of the box. They seem very clear, and the box is printed with a QR code and an email address for additional help.
