I am a boy-scout at heart and always like to be prepared. Now that my youngest kid is driving I worry more than ever. . She’s in collage and a know it all. but every time it snows a few jackasses die because they go out in the snow unprepared.Case in point of my Daughter driving up the mountains with her Friends when a snow storm is forecastThey think just because they have a phone it’s a magic wand. Tell that to the woman I just saw on the news who was stranded on the interstate for 15 hours as the snow shut down travel. At least it’s something to get you unstuck and some type of prepairedness on heading out in a snowstorm. Would I have worried about it at her age….No. that’s what Dad’s are for.

Used for about 4 miles on road, there was thin hard packed snow. One slip and rotate to where the latch part was hitting the road but even with that it held on and didn’t fail. Ride was bumpy but not too rough. Easy to install in the snow about 1min for each and removal was super easy and quick, about 10secs per each to remove.

We bought the chains for a trip to the mountains following a major winter storm. They look good and made of quality materials. The ratcheting metal part and chains pear to be Cad plated, though I don’t imagine that will stay long on the chains themselves after the first use. There are three per side and this was one size that would fit a 20” tire. They come in carry bag and the whole package is really not heavy and doesn’t take up much space at all. But I think they should last for a little bit. I would be weary driving more than 20 mph using these chains because other than the strap that goes on the inside of the wheel, there’s nothing else holding onto them. I am glad we got them because while we saw many of those plastic zip-ties laying on the ground, we didn’t see this type out there. I gave them 4 stars because I haven’t tried them so I’m really not sure how well they will perform, but when I do, I’ll update the review.

These are super handy for throwing on tires quick and easy. Unfortunately, I had to return them because they’re too small for my F350 tires. Great buy for a smaller truck though!

These went on easy and came off easy too...while we were still driving! We followed all the instructions and were driving just under 20 mph through a snowy mountain pass. By the time we got through the pass there was only one segment still left on one tire. I am not impressed. I will be requesting a refund.
