I put these on my Sons Ford Escape. I backed out of own driveway and drove down the street and turned around. Three of them broke off and when I turned back into the driveway the rest of them had broken off. This product is crap.

I haven’t gotten to actually use them yet but I did put them on just to see how hard it is to do and it’s as easy as it gets other than it’s cold doing it.

So every single one of them broke like they broke because of the cold and they are supposed to be made to use in the cold I ended up getting four of them on my back tires without breaking but as soon as I started driving they all broke off I am very disappointed yes I realize this product is not very expensive but it's also very deceiving you are selling chains for car tires for the winter and literally they snap in half when they get cold so explain to me what you even use them for if not for snow? I live in an area where when it snows we get quite a bit and I drive a smaller vehicle that is not four-wheel drive so I was really kind of hoping that these worked because then I could still go to work on snow days like everybody else does but no I'm stuck up on my hill because the snow chains that I bought for my car snapped while I was trying to apply them and I get it they're throwaways but still they should at least work once or for longer than 5 seconds I literally pulled out of my driveway from putting them on and they all snapped off I guess more of the story is be careful what you buy not everything is what it's supposed to be I really wish that the company would answer me back and tell me why they snapped and if they're not for winter what the hell are they supposed to be used for? No offense but I'm missing work right now because they didn't work👎👎

My car was stuck in the snow, and I was very thankful I purchased these before the snow storm because my car doesn't do well in the snow... at least I thought I was thankful. First of all it was nearly impossible to put the treads on the tires. It took about ten minutes to get just one of the treads on while cars were driving past me on the street in the snow. Then when I finally got them all on they ALL broke off when I tried to slowly accelerate to get my car unstuck. So I guess if you are looking for a product that is nearly impossible to install, doesn't give any traction, and is easy to remove because they just break off this is the product for you. If you need something to give you traction in the winter skip this product entirely because it's a waste of time and money.

The product works well in dry already packed snow. It does not peform in slushy conditions and is not a real substitute for chains. It does not work on ice at all as it was to be exoected. Removal is rather messy. One needs a small pocket knife to praise the little lip in the locking up mechanism to remov both ends. The benefit is quiet ride comparing to chains as well no or almost no vibrations is beinf fetl thru the wheels.

Had purchased 2 sets 3 years ago. Finally had the opportunity to use them.Put only 2 on my rear tires. They broke quickly. You should put out instructions in the package.More would have been better and will know for the future.Great alternative to chains.

I purchased the driving cables for emergencies. They appear to be exactly what was promised. They are essentially large zip ties with nubs that will dig into snow or ice. I would not recommend drive for distances or at speed in these but they are great for when you get stuck or in a sudden storm. And they take up very little room under the trunk floor. I hike in the white mountains and never know when I will be on a back road that is less than well cared for. These ties give me a little extra assurance that I will get out if the conditions deteriorate.

I live in the South and don't need a snow chain usually. We go to ski twice a year, we use the snow chain only required. Last year I bought $70 metal sown chains, only used once, they got loose and fell off the tire, what a waste! This one is very good, and I am very happy with the price and it serves the purpose.
