Not very good. Released water more quickly than expected. Was hard to put into smaller/short pots because they are pretty tall and they get unstable in smaller pots. I don't use them and would not recommend. Buy the Blumat ones intead.

We are using 15 different globes throughout the property. Mostly indoors, but some outdoors. About 80% work well. The 3-4 different globes that aren't working well is not because of the globe. The potted plants soil appear to be too fast draining, so even though the soil is moist, the water drains through the pot fairly quickly and the globes do not work well here. The other item we found is if the pot is too root packed, then this won't work either and we have to repot the plant. If the pot has an adequate root to soil ratio and the soil is moist, the globe appears to be working well.

As with other reviews (wish I had read them earlier!), these watering globes are not worth the price/risk to plants. Some of the globes never seemed to empty (I believe this is due to the fact that when inserting them into the soil, the soil clogged the tube?), while others fully emptied out (except for the water droplets left at top of tube). There seems to be no reason for the inconsistency as I watered the plants before inserting the tubes, so one would expect the drainage rate to be relatively the same for plants receiving the same amount of sun each day.I am going to give these one more try next vacation time, but am quite disillusioned as I have yet to figure out how to remove the dirt that has clogged the tubes from last time...Is there some trick to making these work better? (Maybe some instructions on proper insertion so as to avoid clogging tubes?)

The plastic is light weight, so I have no concern about that plus the water's weight being too heavy for the angle of insertion into the soil. The only concern I have is that the openings at the end of the stems aren't uniform - some are at the stem width, while others close in from the stem making them more challenging to fill.Over all, with a dash of patience for filling them, these work very well!

Brought these because we were going on vacation. I really take care of all the plants we have indoors and outdoors. I was concerned since we are experiencing 95+ degrees weather. The product was sturdy and made of heavy plastic. These was worth the money and they do work. All the plants were well watered when we got back and none of them died! A win for me!

I have to disagree with the reviews stating these are hard to fill up. I had no problem filling mine; I just used the tiniest trickle of water and had no issue. Another option is to fill a bucket or large sink and submerge them to fill. They worked well and kept my plants watered while on vacation. 4 stars only because I wish they had a middle size that is in-between the small and large size provided. I am happy with my purchase and the price point on these.

Very aggravating to fill… takes a while. There were no directions so I saw no other way other but to run a very small stream of water to go in the very small opening

I bought a bunch of these and I saw the reviews but I didn't think there would be too much of an issue, I mean these are fairly straightforward right? Well I was definitely wrong! Some of them emptied out immediately it looks like and some were still full (meaning that there was no water flow at all). I'm disappointed but I guess I got what I paid for.

I have used them throughout the house for a few weeks and think they work great! The size of the container and the needs of the plant determined which size was used.I had no difficulty filling either size. Just use a slow stream from the faucet and tilt the stem of the bulb to about 45 degrees.I did use a chop stick to pre-drill holes in the soil to avoid clogging the stem. I also find an angle into the soil works better than straight down. To make sure I don't have an air bubble trapped, I slowly tilt the stem down and then know I am good to go when I see an air bubble come into the bulb.I like that they are plastic, someone in my house would probably find a way to break a glass version! For me they are practical and not meant for decoration. Definitely worth a try if you have a plant addiction!
