Got this set as a cave for my plecos. Very very impressed with the size, price, quality, and the fact that it is a pack. My plecos loved the cave so much that within a month they were breeding in it! Highly recommend for pleco breeders!

I have used these for my house plants with a small bottle of water. I bought another set for my vegetable garden because the summer is now so dry and hot. I will push them into the ground with 2 L soda bottles cut off at the end so I can fill them with water every day. Hoping to get a better crop this year.

We took a 2 week trip to Alaska. I was worried about keeping my indoor plants alive without having someone come in to water. These worked great! I did a few test runs before leaving to determine the rate they would absorb. Using a full wine bottle, they would most likely run out a few days early but that was close enough. We are home now and plants look great! 1 plant bottle was completely empty and the other still had water just above the wine bottle stem. Worked perfectly.A few things to note:They were too large for smaller plants. I easily carried those to neighbor to care for.When loading the full water bottle, make it a very quick motion to not make a mess.I did soak the cones and pre watered plants to slow the draining.I am not sure if using multiple in the same plant would make them last longer. You could test that if needed.Great solution for longer trips!

I ordered these for when we are away this summer and I'm testing them this week and so far so good! I'm following all the instructions and pre-soaked them as well as the soil before inserting. Arrived unbroken which is pretty amazing. Packed well in styrofoam.

My plants love these. We went on vacation for a week and the plants stayed watered by filling wine bottles with the watering solution and placing them in the tubes. I removed the bottles but left the tubes in the soil when I came home and now water my plants by filling the tubes up with water and miracle grow solution. My plants are thriving. I will add the water bottles again the next time we go away for longer-term watering. Prior to using the tubes, my plants almost died when I went away for a week. I do not remember the ad telling me that some type of long neck bottle would be necessary for long term watering so that was a surprise.

ordered up a six pack of these from amazon, and it took a little figuring out to get him to work. I asked the internet how to use these and they said to soak the spikes first, which is a good suggestion, but then I tried poking a hole in the top of the plastic bottle that I had stuck into them, and that didn't work. I plugged the whole and then they worked like a charm. hopefully my cat palms Will survive my trip back to the Bay

I just bought some more of these, as I don't always remember to remove them from pots before gifting plants (and, yes, there are occasional new plants to outfit but I will never admit that to my husband).We have used these successfully for years to maintain my larger plants that can't easily move into a temporary terrarium when we leave for longer vacations. I use between one and four of these per plant, each supporting a wine bottle full of water. The bottles are usually empty upon our return, but sometimes not, and that tells me no one is getting over-watered with this method. One plant almost reaches our 9ft. ceiling and needs good water support, which this product provides.None of these have broken during use (I have broken them when storing or cleaning, but do not blame the product for that). The wider mouth easily accommodates different sizes and shapes of wine bottles. These spikes are sturdy enough to support the filled bottles even when I don't get them perfectly aligned.This product is well designed and well-made and provides peace of mind during vacations.

I've used these for 3 months and just love them. They come carefully packaged and none of mine were broken on arrival. This is the first set I ever got so I wasn't sure what to expect. I pushed them into our hard soil and luckily they didn't break (I didn't realize you had to be really gentle) but it says a lot for the product. The Terracotta is quality and I think that makes a huge difference. I have bought clay types and they arrived broken and were junk. They are NOT all the same (the waterers and companies) by any means!!These are easy to use- you put a bottle, filled with water, in them diagonally and they keep your plants moist for a few days. I used water bottles to start because it was all I had but they kept blowing away (high winds here) and I kept having to hunt them down so I switched to glass root beer bottles. I've been pleased and would easily buy them again. The price has gone up quite a bit since my first purchase or I'd own several sets of these! If you are looking for something these are easy to recommend and I tell friends and family about them all of the time!
