The coiled feature made me curious, and it was a good price and picked one up. But be careful how you use it. The coil is really really tight, and it can pull the cord from the socket or be dangerous to use with most power tools. I'll save it for something where I barely need to stretch out the coils, which defeats the purpose.

Strike one: It's Heavy. Weighs a lot more than a standard 10-foot cord.Strike two: Only retracts to 6 feet after being stretched to 10.Strike three: The male plug end is upside down (180 degrees from standard).

Very strong coil will make it tough to fully stretch. Maybe less so over time?

Blows circuit breakers.This must have insufficient gauge of wire. It causes the breaker to trip almost instantly. Plugging in any other extension cord at the same outlet causes no problems.

Purchase these coiled extension cords with the intention that once pulled straight they would recoil back but they do not once I pulled them out they only recoil slightly

Used this in lower compartment in my 5th wheel. Small freezer is on a slide out tray and this cord expanded perfectly to keep the unit plugged in with no binding.

Nice quality, a bit on a stiff side, if stretched doesn't bounce back as I would like it to, but on the other hand wouldn't pull the plug out.
