It works! It was a little difficult to install in my situation. I have an older Monessen unit about 24 years old, but it worked well. Hopefully it will last.

Ordered in late Sept of 2023, as of January 2024, approximately 3 months later, the pilot light is going out. I am able to relight it and it functions for about 2 days. I will reorder this and hope it lasts longer this time.

We were uncertain if this would work in our 30+ yr old fireplace, but it was easy to install and worked perfectly.

After much diagnosing of my suddenly flameless gas fireplace, I determined the thermopile was the likely culprit (low voltage). After trying to salvage my OEM one I finally gave in and decided on this particular replacement since from the pictures it looked mostly identical and it cost about $80 less than I could find anywhere else. It IS a slightly wider diameter than the original, which I remedied by using a Dremel to enlarge the opening slightly (sandpaper and a dowel/pencil would also work for such a small adjustment), and once installed I was back in business. Fireplace is working fine again for now (don't forget to maintain your pilot lights and vents, people!) so the only concern is the long-term durability, but consider me pleased with the product as it stands. May buy another just to have handy to avoid downtime down the road.

This is the second thermogenerator I've replaced on my 25 (or so) year Jotel Lillehammer gas stove. The factory replacement from Jotel costs around $60! This one works just fine at a quarter of the price.
