I love the idea and look but sadly the water doesn’t really flow down the chain from the gutter. More like splashes. I have tried various adjustments.

When I bought this unit I focused on it being aluminum thus not subject to rusting. I didn't consider the lack of weight, however. This chain is quite light and therefore any sort of wind just whips this chain about. Also, with the water 'running' down the chain ... well, it simply doesn't. The water splashes all the way down making the immediate area a wet mess. I find this chain virtually useless for my needs. I rated this chain a 2 because the product was as 'advertised' and the delivery was as promised. Otherwise, I would have rated this chain a 0 mostly because it is just useless for my needs.

Easy to install, and looks good on the corner of the house. I'm letting it hang, but it seems to me there should be a weight at the bottom end of this Monarch Rain Chain. I'll see who it works during a winter storm.

I ordered a really nice looking rain chain with copper flowers with a brass flower base at the bottom of each flower. The only thing I didn't like is the rain chain came with a brass chain. When I got it I could bend the brass chain with my fingers. It came crashing to the ground the very first week I had it up due to an ice storm we had. I decided to buy this copper chain and remove the brass chain links and add the new copper chain links I bought here. It looks a lot nicer now and it's probably ten times stronger. This copper chain is thick and high quality. You'll need pliers to add and remove links. The links are almost as thick is a standard number 2 pincle. I couldn't be more happy with my purchase!
