This is a beautiful basin and is more of rustic silver metal color. I ordered hoping it would blend with the rain chains I had but didn’t. It is a nice quality and size. Easy to assemble.

The product is way out of balance and it doesn’t hold water. If it’s meant to sit flat on something instead of hang, it might work.

This rain chain bowl was not as I expected. I can see why the product photos were taken from a distance - the manufacture was quite rough, and the metals are not high quality. As you can see from my close-up photos, the decorative metal birds are not well formed, with flash on the edges from the molding process, and very basic definition. They are attached to the bowl by a bolt welded to their bellies and a cap nut. The chain base at the bottom of the bowl is made of thin, soft metal (as is the chain), and does not sit flush to the bowl. The bowl is sturdy (made of thicker metal) but not entirely stable on a flat surface, as the bottom is rounded instead of flat. Personally, I do not care for the finish/color applied to it - coupled with the roughly formed birds, chain, and chain base, the bowl looks cheaply made. That being said, it will do the job it is designed for, and may fit in with some garden designs just fine.
