They work great unless you have a dog that has lots of undercoat . But I was still able to clear out some stuff from the dog with thick undercoat .

I wish the tines were a little bit longer. When you have arthritis it's a little hard to hold this small comb and use it on your cats. If the tines were longer I think it would groom better. I have one in every room of the house plus in the sanctuary. I'm an ex vet tech. and I also have my own cat sanctuary. These are wonderful for going thru a cats fur to get rid of fleas. It also gets rid of small knots and snarls. I gave a couple to my mom and brother for their cats.

Comb might be OK for a kitten or something with very short fine hair when you deal with an actual cat the hair is too dense and the comb is not sturdy enough to actually catch the fleas dog was out of the question too course the fleas just go right in between it might be a good comb for lice not what I bought it for but it's definitely not good at all for fleas if you want a good flea comb make sure it's metal !

Unlike other flea combs that are hard and very hard to clean these are soft and easy to clean. Love them

My butt used to keep a big jar of these on their counter with their name imprinted on it for people to take. My rat terrier / shih Tzu mix hates being brushed but loves these combs. I bought this multi-pack so I always have one near me whatever room we're in. I hope they would be just like the ones that the vet uses and they are. They certainly did not disappoint

Usually I order plain white flea combs, and I should have done so again. Colored flea combs make it difficult to spot fleas on the comb. Learned my lesson.
