Our poor dogters got into some fleas out in the country and these are PERFECT for their short, but thick hair. Not too sharp so it doesn't cut into their skin.

We use it for both our cats and dogs behind the ear to prevent mats on a daily basis. We love it

This is way better than those made with plastic. The combs are actually metal.

Odd use here, removing short hairs from Artic Fox fur to tie fishing flies. Worked great

It's a small size for grooming your cat or smaller dog. It gets in all the tight places, behind the ears, on face and throat area. Works well to remove fleas, matts and knots in fur. Also used this comb on bigger brushes to remove cat/dog hairs and it easily comes off. Good to have, as one of your many grooming accessories! 😸

Not the best for a full comb out, but great for a quick check after a run outside.

They are thin and do not have the strength for thick fur

I wasn't sure how these would work but they have blown my mind! I would attach a picture but I'm not sure anybody wants to see fleas and flea eggs, but totally will if needed. So after the first swipe of the comb, it picked up a BATCH of fleas and flea eggs INSTANTLY.It doesn't get everything on the first comb obviously, so i had to swipe the same area a dozen times to make sure I got what I could out of my dog's coat, but it really does work. It not only captures the fleas and eggs but it gets them stuck between the little bars so they won't fall off when you go to dispose of them by cleaning the comb.Of course I purchased flea medicine as well but until that came I decided to use this comb and I'm just amazed at how well it worked and how much it collected.I would definitely recommend this product and purchase it again. My dog is a short hair dog chihuahua by the way, who it seems to work best on. I've also tried it on a dog with a longer hair coat and my cat but it doesn't pick up on them as well as the small haired dog. I think that has more to do with him being the source of the infestation though, and less to do with it not working as well on long hair, but it's definitely worth the buy to try!Like I said, it worked absolutely amazingly for me, so I figured I'd come leave a quick review in case anyone is debating on purchasing these combs or not.

I have 4 dogs and 8 cats. We get a few fleas every year and I take care of them immediately. Flea combs work great to break up little snarls in heavy coats and remove some undercoat debris. I use them year round whether we have a flea or not. I think I have a good grasp of what makes a good comb. These are a good fit in my hand. Admittedly, I have small hands. No hand fatigue even after an intense session of combing. However, the times are a bit weak and set too far apart. They will remove some snarls and fleas but not all. Though, be prepared!! The tines will begin to fall out from simple everyday use, like scratching a beagles back. Rosie lives to be combed and asks for it several times a day. These combs already have tines that have begun to separate and weaken. If you can see in the pictures, they are already bowing out and will fall out with a little more use.I will hunt for another brand next time but if you just need them for light combing a short haired breed, I'd say this would work. But if you need them for long haired or an actual flea infestation, keep looking.
