Bought it for replacement of front screen glass which comes with digitiser and home button, which is highly essential for replacement. it works like a charm and there is no delay or low sensitivity. it works like original. Worth for replacement.

I just received this screen yesterday. After breaking a screen this week, I decided to try a different supplier. The screen I just got, perfect fit!! I noticed it also didn't feel as thing as the other screen I purchased. Looks like I will try my best to buy these screens from here on out.

First time installing aftermarket digitizer. Hardest part was safely removing old broken digitizer. Once that was done install was piece of cake! Included all tools necessary, except heat gun.

EDIT: I got this to fix my son's iPad and i have it in an otter box case. The first drop the screen shattered and now i have to do this mess all over again with a different screen cause i definitely wouldn't use this kit again. I'll leave my original review but I'm not happy right in this moment...Old review: The kit was a good value overall but without any use at all I unfortunately have a giant scratch across the face of the screen and not sure how that got there as I only installed and set books on top if it to help the adhesion. If it wasn't such a pain to get it off I would just replace it again ha but I just bought a screen protector to hopefully not get any more. It's not a huge issue but when I go from having a severely cracked screen and fixing it only to then have a decently deep scratch instantly it kind of kills the high of fixing something ha. So my advice would be to make sure you have a screen protector and put that on it before you even begin install. I cannot speak on the function of the screen yet as I've just gotten it. Maybe I'll make an update later as I've heard some of these screens can turn yellow/have a yellow hue over time.

I've been installing screens since ipads first came out. They are of great quality and very responsive but not recommended for someone who has never installed a screen before. The packaging for shipping is one of the best I ever purchased.

I bought this to have on hand while doing a battery replacement on my iPad. Internet has several helpful video tutorials of repair process. This kit came with a very useful thin metal tool to used to remove the digitizer. I heated some damp washcloths in microwave and placed them along the edge of the iPad to loosen the adhesive as I did not have a heat gun the hair dryer was not working well. The original digitizer removed intact but the adhesive was left in such disrepair that I was much easier to replace it with new and use the included adhesive strips. The new one responds to touches and gestures as well as original. My iPad is protected by one of those covers with the magnetic lid and after the repair it stopped going into sleep mode and producing the lock click sound when covered. A few weeks later it seems to be going into sleep mode when closing the cover but still doesn't produce the click sound. Once in while when the lid is folded behind the iPad it will trigger sleep mode switch and the iPad will sleep while using which is frustrating. I'm not sure what is causing this, it could be the digitizer, cover, or perhaps something happened during the repair.

I purchased and installed this kit what I liked is it included the home button so I didn’t have to transfer the old one . Installation instructions could have been a lot clearer on to which side to start with. Installation was pretty easy and relatively quick. The only problem is the home button works sporadically and sometimes not at all so that’s frustrating - the digitizer screen works great and is crystal clear. Better directions and a better quality home button will make this kit perfect

I had an iPad Air with a shattered digitizer screen. I ordered a new screen , NOT the one that I am giving 5 stars to from Amazon. It came with everything as described and was suitable for the purpose.I accidentally cracked the screen as I was installing it. There wasn't anything wrong with the new screen. I simply cracked the screen because I didn't notice a dent in the housing and when I pushed the screen down into the housing it cracked.I had to order another digitizer screen. I decided to pay an extra dollar for my second screen because it included a metal spudger and plectrum. The extra tools were worth the extra dollar alone. Another added benefit that I got for the extra dollar was robust packaging and most of all, it came with detailed easy to follow instructions that included pictures. The fist screen didn't have any instructions at all but it was still a quality screen.The reason that I am writing this review is to point out the extra care and thought that was put into the preparation of the second screen. I didn't see any difference in screens. The difference was in the packaging. The second screen came in a clear plastic vacuum molded case that was in a cardboard box. It is clear that the people and company that provided the second screen seemed to take that extra step to provide a quality product.

I've fixed dozens of iPads (check my other reviews for more detail, tips and tricks) and I really like this screen. All of the parts are pre-attached in the right place, including the necessary adhesive strips. The metal pry tools are very good, though the screwdrivers are pretty dainty and easy to damage. They're fine for one repair but if you're going to do more than one you owe it to yourself to spend the $10 for a good set. This screen even set into the iPad exactly as the original, which is a nice change from most, which stick up 1/2mm or more above where they should.Highly recommended from an experienced DIYer.
