Consider putting an OEM screen in. The screen does work, but makes the experience terrible apps will open up randomly, and home button does not work at all.

I had replaced my iPad Air 5th Gen 32GB battery a couple weeks prior. While doing this I tried to reinstall the factory digitizer which was not cracked. For some reason the touch would not work at top of screen but would work at bottom. I decided to bite the bullet per one of the recommendations on how to video and buy this digitizer.Install was relatively simple compared to replacing battery. This time I used nitrel gloves and completed the swap. All the tools included were great.Everything fit great and now I have a fully functioning iPad with a new battery and new digitizer.

This is a great product that resurrected my iPad Air 1st Gen! Easy to follow instructions and available YouTube video. For the price of this screen, there is no better option to bring back the life of an iPad. Certainly saved me bucks in buying a new one. Thank you for this. I posted pictures of the new screen and the old cracked/shattered screen I removed.

This screen replacement is a great deal. It's 20 bucks to bring back a broken iPad. The only issue is that the instructions are printed on a tiny sheet of paper and so it's difficult to see the pictures indicating where things are. Be prepared to go cowboy on it and wing it or look it up online.Otherwise, solid product and works as advertised.

Replaced Gen1 Ipad Air screen.Price is spot-on and the screen works exactly as advertised. I gave three stars because the screen is fragile and can crack relatively easily. After installing it, I applied mild pressure to the lower-right corner of the Ipad as it appeared the adhesive wasn't 'sticking' and kept lifting. Upon applying the pressure and holding it for a few seconds, the new screen cracked! It turned out that the ribbon cable wasn't perfectly flush underneath thus adding pressure causing it to bulge a bit. Granted this was my fault, but given the mild pressure I applied, I was surprised it cracked so easily and that the crack ran clear up the middle.Because I had also ordered a glass protector, I ended up placing it over the newly cracked screen as it was still a huge improvement for us. The kiddo can live with a hairline crack vs. how it was previously.

Absolutely amazing product! It's so easy to fit once all the fiddly bits have been done. Easy to find a video to accompany the product, mine came with a leaflet that was easy to follow. Make sure you have an hour to spare

Easy perfect fit! Came with Very good tool kit and the leads already attached and place as well as adhesive stickers. Directions were small — too much so to be useful, which is probably intentional. You really should watch two or three different videos on YouTube before installing it. This will give you a little bit of peace of mind if you’re doing right. For the iPad Air First version, the non-2; Two of the four screws are hidden underneath a piece of sticky black tape in the corner, Well the two screws and the other under readily visible. Also know that there is a piece of black tape over the connector that you must flip up and if you don’t take that off your no way get the Connector in. Noted it goes in with the copper down. I suggest using a Medicine cup or small container with compartments to put the screws in so you don’t lose them. Everything I needed was included in the kit, ( I already had a blow dryer in the house, and I already had several topics. If you don’t you may want to pick some up. They could be cheap as will just use for spacers while getting the glass Off. Saved me at least an hour By having the adhesive, power button, And two other connectors pre-installed. I don’t know if The competition charges less but I would still be glad to pay them the difference I know I got the right part right size and everything already in place. This product earned five stars!P.S. No fault of this company, my iPad has another cracked sheet of glass. I'm ordering the exact same thing. Why? Because it works well and having the cables pre-installed saved at least an hour. The guy who complained that it didn't work right under supposedly expert installation it's mistaken. If it's not working it has nothing at all to do with this glass. His digitizer was damaged, perhaps by the accident in the first place, perhaps by that very Tech. Regardless, the problem is with the digitizer, not this product.

Arrived on time, installation was a piece of cake... however the entire bottom one inch edge of the screen above the Home button DOES NOT WORK! This means none of the icons docked to the home screen are accessible and the "swipe up" control center is inaccessible without rotating to landscape or turning upside down. All text entry (including this review) has to be done in landscape orientation, but to use the backspace key, the screen has to be rotated to portrait orientation, as that key is in the "dead zone". Rotating back and forth is annoying enough, but the worst part is that not all apps support screen rotation, rendering many of the in-app controls/buttons unusable. Guess I'm gonna have to either buy another screen, take it in for repair, or buy a new iPad.If it wasn't for this flaw I would rate this product 5 stars but since it doesn't work fully it gets only 2.

This was my first attempt at a screen replacement (phone or tablet), not the first time breaking one though. The product is great, however; the instructions could be refined. Some information seems to have been lost in translation. That was not really an issue as there are hundreds of step-by-step repair videos online. My only complaint is there is only 1 guitar pick in the box (as advertised). You will need more to remove the old screen. You can be creative though, use any plastic lying around the house, old Amazon gift cards work just fine.I give this product 5 out of 5 stars because the price can't be beat. For this price, it's easy to look past poorly written instructions and skimping out on guitar picks. Local repair shops were going to charge $100 minimum for what amounts to $20 in parts and 30-45 minutes of work. This makes me want to get into the electronic repair business.

Awesome product... I previously purchased one of the cheaper replacement screens on here although it was ok I couldn't get the old home button to sit right. After numerous clicks it dislodged prompting me to have to get another replacement so I found thisFrom opening it you could see it was quality ...1) sticky tape already there on it ... no mucking about diy and stuck down no problem2) home button and camera mount already installed and are solid....awesome3) can't see the hairline wires in the screen like the other cheaper one4) screen feels nicer when you slide finger over itSo well worth the extra few quid. Install time for me was an hour, although bear in mind I had already taken the Apple screen off prior and that sucker takes ages to remove.Replacements are always easy to remove as adhesive is never as strong. Always spend plenty of time removing all of the old gunk from the edges it pays off when putting new screen on
