I have some trouble with the Bluetooth in my car in general. It often failes fails to connect to my phone before being able to connect to Android Auto. Having said that, the trick to getting this to work is to make the Bluetooth pairing from my phone both to my car and the wireless AA adapter.The instructions state to unpair the phone and car's Bluetooth connection, and then connect Bluetooth from the phone to the adapter. Doing so, my car the adapter then attempts to link the phone and car through, and my car kept failing to make the connection. I think it's just an issue with my car because my mother's car worked as the instructions describe.The adapter has a Wi-Fi connection with a web interface to manage the device settings and update firmware. Unfortunately, I can only get the update check to work when using an iPhone, which I had to borrow because I don't carry one regularly. It would not show available updates when connected from my Android phone.
