I obtained these to add a couple of USB ports to my '06 Rav4. I had upgraded the radio to a 9" Android touchscreen, and the radio supported two USB ports via pigtails in the back. These units gave the USB ports a perfect 'OEM' look. They fit perfectly in place of the blank plates where non-existent optional switches may have gone. With two of them I can keep a low-profile thumb-drive in one, and charge my phone in the other. Now the dash and console look up-to-date and complete.

I have ordered a part for my old Scion before so I can have a dedicated Carplay connection in the car. The old one has become very sensitive that I had to have the cable at a certain again for it to recognize. This adapter works well, the connection feels solid, but only time will tell.
