INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:

If using a dual head type tire chuck with an inflator gauge and notice air is escaping through the off-side once connected to the tire’s Schrader valve, simply release the trigger and remove the inflator from the Schrader/tire valve. Point the straight side of the outlet up into the air (make sure it’s not pointed at someone). Squeeze trigger, allow air to flow (gravity will cause the sealing valve to drop), and place the chuck end onto the Schrader/tire valve while air is still flowing. Air will start to flow into the tire.

Dual head type tire chucks are unable to inflate a completely flat (zero air pressure) tire. Tire air pressure would normally cause the sealing valve to move and seal the unused side of the chuck. However, if a tire has 0 air pressure, the self-sealing valve has no pressure to react to.

DRIVE SAFELY: Maintaining proper tire pressures improves vehicle handling, reduces risk of tire failure, improves fuel economy, and increases the life of your tires.

I had a Milton branded entry level inflator. I've replaced it with this professional version which is far better made with several features that offer a huge upgrade. It's going to be much more durable. I heartily recommend this part. It's worth the extra expense over the inexpensive consumer grade inflator.

Give 4 stars because the head on mine is already messed up and just blows out which ever side is not against the valve stem, when it worked is was better quality them 90% of them on the market for a dually. Gauge is very accurate. Airs up tires pretty quick.

Good Quality but hard to read. Going back to my digital tire gage.

I'm very pleased that the built in gauge is reasonably accurate. Well, reasonably accurate with the graduations on the scale compared to my test gauges. Great combination gauge and fill.

update: received mine and have used it a couple times since. works great and easy to use. i compared to the accuracy with my matco digital gauge and they are both spot on to each other. i trust it will outlive the digital matco one!i actually dont have mine yet i had only just ordered it. im getting this one as a backup and alternative (for short valve stems) to a digital matco one i have at work.my grandpa has had one since the 90s and it is still going strong today, have only had the hose and fitting replaced several times. that being the reason for my 5 stars and not having owning it just yet lolin response to randall's review, the "locking" aspect of the chuck is that there are threads inside of it to help grip the valve stem while pressing down on it. it is not a true lock and let go mechanism. it may seem like a gimmick but it does assist in reducing the force required to hold a good seal between tool and valve stem

I bought this set up because I had an older one that worked great for 16 years. Finally started to ware out so I bought this as the replacement. The only thing that works well is the gauge. Air supply is tremendously slow. I even took it apart and drilled out the passages the as much as I could( still very small) If you have to air up anything other than a low pro car tire or bicycle tube, be prepared to be there for awhile. The Chuck end doesn’t always blow out the correct end. Have to smack against things to get it to switch. Anyways, threw it in the dumpster today after trying to air up a tractor tire in 10 degree weather. The Chuck never went to the correct outlet.

Last year I bought a cheapo one at the auto parts store. Less than half the price. It was hard to read, gave inaccurate results, and, to add insult to injury, it began to leak. Trash-canned it and bought this Milton model. Milton has been around for over 75 years. Well worth the price. (Caveat: Stuff doesn't last forever. 40 years ago, courtesy an inaccurate tire gauge, I overinflated a split rim tire. It blew off the rim, then hit and destroyed my knee. Limped around in pain for a long time. So, 1/ Buy quality - like this one, and then 2/ Check it against another gauges from time to time.)

My only complaint is that it cannot be used to deflate a tire while measuring psi very well. It needs to be hooked up to an air line in order to read psi and there is no pressure relief valve on it so I have to deflate the tire using my little screwdriver and then read it with the gauge. It is very accurate but you do need to inflate to about 2psi higher than you want, take it off the valve stem and put it back on to double check it got to the proper psi. It is what I expected, I prefer this style, it has some good weight to it feeling like it's better quality than cheap gauges. Worth every penny and I use it every day.

This air chuck/gauge is fantastic. It is used consistently in an industrial setting. The psi measurement is accurate as I have compared its reading with other gauges.
