Instructions: How To Quickly Clean Tool If Pressure Reading Doesn't Hold on Dial
1. Remove top section of brass stem
Dust from tire valve stem may enter the gauge with normal use. This can cause the reading to not hold on the dial. This is common in analog gauges, and if this happens, you can easily fix the problem by following these steps.
First, unthread the top section of the brass stem.
2. Remove internal seal components
Carefully remove the internal seal components:
- Insert plug
- Black disc
- Clear disc
- Spring
3. Clean dust and debris
Gently clean internal components, and blow inside of the stem to clear dust and debris. Rotate and press the bleeder valve a few times to dislodge any trapped debris.
4. Reassemble
Reinsert components in this order:
- Spring
- Clear Disc
- Black Disc
- Plug Insert
Lastly, thread the top of the brass stem back onto the base.

I bought the specifically to re-pressurize my RO tank. My tank lost pressure after seven years and would barely fill half a cup before the stream turned into a dribble. Perfect Water, the RO company recommended a 0-20 lower pressure gauge. This one is 0-30 but works perfectly. I have one tip for users, though who may not be aware: this gauge holds the reading, so make sure, you press the little button to reset it every time you check the pressure. I had tried to use my battery powered inflator, which was a big no-no. I had to buy myself a bicycle pump to get the job done. It took all off five minutes. Five or six inflations then check the pressure and it was already up to about 7PSI. A few more pumps and it was sitting at 10. I pushed it in a little until the air escaped and got it down to nine, which is exactly where my RO company said depression needed to be. The force from the faucet is now strong and works exactly as intended. I highly recommend this product, which is very robust built. The gauge is clear and easy to read. The brass construction means it will not rest and will last a long time. The rubber housing makes it easy to hold without slipping. most pressure gauges will start their reading from 5 to 10 PSI. If you need something for RO systems, you can’t go wrong with this product.

12-06-2024 i contacted jayco a few days back and have not heard back about a replacement.Hello? I planned on using this gauge to set my slicks, which run at a low psi. 4-5 psi wrong could mean a lost rqce or worse too much psi and hitting a wall.I asked a few days ago, what do I need to do to get a new mechanical gauge since thebdigital(which I offered to pay the difference for) are on back order. I'll update once I hear from manufacturer

... for maintaining air pressure at 10 to 14 PSI. Bleed function works great -- pump up tire slightly too high, then bleed down to the desired pressure by tapping the button.Very solid construction. Feels high quality in hand. I would have given five stars except I would love this unit to be a bit more compact.

I wanted a air gage that would read low air pressure for my mower tires, 12lbs, this gage is great, it will hold the reading and it has a air bleed button, sure beats other guages. I liked it so well i ordered another one that will go up to sixty pounds for car tires, they will also glow in the dark if you first shine a lite on the face, i may buy more in the future, all i know the low psi gage is great for alot of tires that uses low pressure, the old stick air guages start out at 20psi, and that is way too high. This product was recommended to me by a friend that has one, so i knew they worked befor i ordered one. Great product so far.
