Love at first sight. Already assembled and professional quality miniature size. Great price. I’ve tried a few other looms and nothing compared.

It works fine though one of the shuttles came broken and the wood seems cheap/breakable, so I would not give to a child or someone who has a habit of destroying things. But I have an extra weaving needle and it works fine. I like that it’s small so it’s easy to bring it with you almost anywhere… maybe anywhere if you have a really big purse or bag.

I bought this to use for making smaller projects and sample patterns. It is light weight, and has all the features of my ninety dollar xxl loom.It came with the warp threads on, and ready to weave, just add the heddle piece. One stick shuttle was already full of yarn with a second empty shuttle. Also had an extra ball of yarn, in a different color. It's just cheap yarn, but fun to try out the loom with. A very nice wooden comb came with this set too. I received two pages of directions, but there are many videos about working on a frame loom, on YouTube. All in all, I was really impressed with this loom. My Etsy loom, wasn't as nicely sanded, and came with a junky plastic comb, and minimal set up instructions.

I really only write reviews for things that are either wonderful or awful...and this, my friends, is one of my most wonderful purchases! I’m not all that creatively inclined, but am taking this time in quarantine to learn new things. Weaving my own wall hanging was something I decided to try, and needed an inexpensive loom to do so (because, in the likely event that I sucked at it, I didn’t want to drop a ton of money on something I’d never use again). But ladies and gents, I have to say, I think my first attempt was a success! The directions that came with this were actually very helpful to get started, then I just looked up some YouTube tutorials on designs I liked to give me an idea of different techniques. ~6 hours later, and my masterpiece was complete! Make sure you buy ample supplies of all the materials you want for the weave, along with needles if you want to use those (they aren’t included). I looked up designs I liked and then researched similar yarns to have on hand. In some of the reviews, it seemed like people needed to sand parts of this down to make it smoother, but I didn’t have any issues with that and didn’t need to alter a thing about it. If you’re looking for a new hobby, or something fun to pass the time while you’re stuck at home, BUY THIS NOW. You won’t regret it.

This is MUCH easier to use than I thought it would be. My kids (8 & 10) and I love it! It came with string already on it and a sample started, so between watching the video and playing around with the sample for a few minutes, you’ll have it down. Be sure to tighten the side bars first so you don’t accidentally lose all your strings. This is a really neat little tool! Definitely worth the money!!!

I thought this was a toy but I find it quite good for the price. I expected the wood to be really weak and for it to be easily broken. It isn't easy to break and with some muscle on the wing nuts you can get the tension firm enough to try tapestry weaving.I wanted to test out if I liked weaving and so this loom seemed the best bang for the buck and that it would provide the basic concept of plain weaving. I have even experimented and tried various types of pattern weaving by making my own pick up sticks. I have tried using Aunt Lydia's size 10 crochet thread on it and Lion brand 247 cotton yarn on it and it works well. It is easy to prop up on a jar or table edge to get it to work either sitting or standing. The heddle bar is quite good and makes all the difference in being able to weave faster. With the purchase of a few c clamps at the hardware store you can weave longer lengths. The shuttle sticks and comb that come with it are also quite good for the price.Tip- Also purchase some good quality cotton or wool yarn like Lion brand 247 or Hobium cotton and a good quality cotton warp thread to get the most of this cheaper little loom and you'll be satisfied with it. I have also used cotton crochet thread and it looks great. Using acrylic yarn though will drive you crazy.

Bought this for quick and easy setup to weave samples before warping a larger loom, which takes a lot more time and wastes more yarn to sample than this does. It would be fun for small hangings, eyeglass cases, phone cases, little handbags, or even multiple squares to be joined together for larger items - wherever your creativity takes you - and all for only $18.99 at time I bought it.Without the grooved bar it's a small frame loom for tapestry weaving. It can also be set up very similar to my tabletop rigid heddle loom. When the grooves in the bar are threaded in all of a section of slots, turning the bar a little forward or back raises alternating threads the same way the heddle does on my other loom. (The ends of the bar are flattened so it rests tilted slightly forward or back if desired.) This creates upper and lower alternating threads, making a small opening to pass the shuttle through.Wood is unfinished and reasonably smooth but could benefit from some light sanding with fine grit paper. I will probably use some butcher block beeswax/mineral oil for a nontoxic protective finish that's easy to apply. Be sure to check that the warping slots on each end are level before you begin weaving and snug the wingnuts. So far, I've had no issues with the hardware. You can see from the picture I've included that the package says Eichhorn. Language on box looks like German. Kit includes loom, heddle bar, 2 small shuttles, a beater comb, and 2 tiny balls of yarn. It came pre-warped.My only complaint is there are no instructions other than a slip of paper directing you to some short YouTube video clips (non-English) that are barely helpful. Since I have a little weaving experience I knew how to set it up using the heddle; it could be a bit trickier for the complete novice.Overall, it serves my purpose, it's fun, and an acceptable product for a fair price.
