I know all fuel cans now come with these safety nozzles. The fact is they are not that safe because they leak after the first couple of uses. You need two hands to activate the safety mechanism, meaning you have to support the weight of the fuel with the nozzle, causing them to leak. The inflow of air doesn't work causing slow fuel delivery. I swap these safety nozzles with simple nozzles almost immediately. I just assume that I will need to do this with every new can. The cans themselves are heavy duty and will last a long time. The diesel fuel does not interact with the can. The second handle on the side is very useful when holding the can during fueling. My skid steer has the fueling port at head height, ever try to hold 5 gallons of diesel above your head? It is much simpler with this second handle.

Just received two of these and immediately replaced the government mandated spouts with new ones that do not restrict the flow of fuel, also added air vents at the top rear of the jugs. I expect these will last a long time as they seem well built.
