Very blinding when looking into the microscope 🔬 gives me migraine so it’s a no for me but I purchased for my daughter anyway. She doesn’t even use it either sitting Duck basically.

Perfect for my my young gifted 6 year old. Although it's not the best microscope in the world. It's worth the price, for what it is. The packaging is amazing, slides and activities well thought out, and my young child is very interested in science. Glad I purchased the item, and would look into further magic school bus science items.

I read a lot of reviews on this microscope kit some were positive, some were negative. The box arrived today. I opened it up due to comments to check it out. A comment on the battery installation, I rotated the mirror remove the small screw put the battery in positive side up and put the cap and screw back in. I removed a slide and adjusted the light to turn it on and adjusted the slide under the microscope and started out with the various magnification settings attached are all three that are clear the microscope works fine. It is made from plastic. The clarity is okay and I would definitely buy this again.

This is a great fun activity for little scientists! Kids under 8 may need help from an adult. Very fun way to bond and learn together. It was all good quality and lasted a while. We never had issues with anything breaking or not working. The microscope didn't have the clearest picture but it's a toy so I wasn't expecting professional equipment.

This is such a fun science kit to introduce your child to using a microscope. My five year old loves this microscope - she immediately wanted to go out and collect specimins to look at under the microscope. The packaging is incredibly cute as well, it is a really fun gift to give a kid who is just learning about microscopes or one who is really interested in science.

Our grandson is 7 and just beginning an interest in science. He got a great book fair book for experiments that could be done with common household items but wanted some things that felt more "official" this was perfect for him. We bought it in conjunction with the chemistry lab. It is challenging enough for him to learn without being frustrating. It has kept him interested and busy for some time now!

We ordered this for our son's 5th birthday. He loves to examine things closely & wanted something more in depth than a magnifying glass. The packaging is inviting and great for storing the whole set when not in use. The cards are very educational and allow me to go as in depth as he can understand now, but will have more for him to learn when he's a bit older. He can make slides himself or look at the few samples that came with it and the lens dial and focus dial are perfect for his little hands to use so that, after a couple of assisted tries, he can use this all on his own. His response to it......"Mom, with this microscope, I think I'll become a doctor."

My son received this kit and loves it. The microscope is small, but functional. It is not high powered but given the age and price range of the product, I don't know who would expect it to be. The slides are easy to use for little one and he loves making his own slides with the blanks provided. The experiment cards provided contain just the right amount of information in a digestible manner and the observation journal is great for both non writers and writers alike. He is very happy with his and goes along nicely with a couple of the books and episodes of the Magic School Bus. I can't speak for the durability (it is plastic) yet, but I believe it will last until he is more experienced enough for a robust microscope.
