Well I had high hope for. Hoped it was sorta of like zoom app on my phone but not on my phone- right! I may be doing something wrong ๐ I feel I get graininess on screen. Toi much light too little light...Aked my boyfriend is this a video of what lens sees or the actual coin ?? I just dont understand how the grainy image occurs. Can't see to read until I'm zoomed in very far, It is great looking at coin details tho which is the main reason I ordered this, well coins , stamps and instruction manuals written in font size 2! Overall im happy with this and it serves it purpose. I will say bright lighting in the room might cause the haze I see. When I use it in a smaller more dimly lit room with only low(Height) table lamp for lighting it seems to function better for me . The lights on the magnifying device bounce back from coins and washout everything. I may just need a ring light to achieve less light interference. I would order again as it's super convenient to have with me in the car at home at sales etc. I just wish the lighting was better..less direct hitting more lightning around the viewing area rather than at it.

The magnification is pretty stellar to be honest, and the addition of the light makes for clear viewing especially up close. It couldn't be easier to use, and seems like it'll last and last; solid and one piece.

Great product with an easy to use interface. It's very light weight and easy use. Press and hold to turn on and then again to turn it off. Press the power button to cycle though the different zooms. Press the other button the cycle the led light, black light or no light. The screen is a bit small but it's great for inspecting small things. The zoom is better than most cheaper end magnifying glasses. It's particularly useful for inspecting jewelry or threading a needle. The screen is too small to use for other things. Wish there was a av out to connect to a larger projector for kids to view. But for what it is, it's not bad.Good for on the go use and charges via usb.I would recommend it!

I got this to read the very small model numbers on my Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, etc.) and it failed miserably through no fault of its own. The issue is that the reflective surface of the devices overwhelms the camera and makes the numbers difficult to read. I think Apple intentionally makes these extremely difficult to read. That said, I have found it useful for inspecting solder joints on PC boards, looking at cloth to see how it is constructed, checking layers on 3D prints, and a myriad of other things. The images are remarkably clear and I have found it a nice tool for close inspection. The multiple levels of backlight can also help in certain situations. The biggest limitation is the very short fixed focus. There are times when it just canโt get the image in focus.Overall, a nice addition to my inspection tools.

So I got this thinking it was going to be more of a hand held magnifying glass. However, it is not. This is more of a jewelers loop for collectors. Which I am totally fine with. I can definitely use this. I collect coins and tradable cards and I instantly recognized the use for this. I also hate using a loop, something like this is much better as you do not have to have your eye right up close to the item as well.So in order to get this to really work you need to just like a loop hover extremely close to the item. My only complaint with this is the bottom where you hover is solid plastic, if there was a very soft cotton pad this would be better. This would prevent any accidental scratching, then again loops are just solid plastic as well. Anyway, hover close to the item and you can hit the button to change the magnification. The other nice thing about this is the lights. The first light is a very bright white light which is used for inspection. The second light, they call purple light in the description is actually a black light. Which again is useful for detecting damage, repairs, other oddities. I have never used a black light with a loop before as it is hard to get the light in there as close as you are, so this was incredibly useful. You can also just shut off all lights so you get room lighting. So while it was not exactly as described it turned out to be better once I started to realize what it was.

--review edit--Needed to modify my original review as I found the unit has 3 resolution settings and will magnify up to 15x, still not quite 200 as claimed, so I increased the review to 4 stars.--end edit--The fixed focus digital microscope is very lightweight plastic and has a matte finish. It measures 58mm wide, 108mm tall and 21mm thick. You can view an object of up to 7mm wide. The image on the display is very clear and sharp, if the object being viewed is relatively flat. There are 3 settings for the lights; white, UV and off. The magnification is only 6x, and not the 200x claimed in the description. I used 2 rulers to gauge the magnification, magnify mm marks on one ruler then measure the mm marks on the display with the other.
