This microscope is really good. Works perfectly and exceeds my expectations. Seems be like a professional one. Only con: It came only with one filter ( blue ). It seems that they forgot to include the other two filters ( yellow and green ).

I am impressed with the clarity and detail of the images produced by this Sedumic microscope. The WF10X and WF25X eyepieces, along with the 4x, 10x, 40x, and 100x achromatic objectives, provide a wide range of magnification options. The LED dual light source is great for viewing opaque objects, and the coaxial and fine focus adjustments allow for precise focusing. The all-metal construction and high-end cloth bag make it a durable and portable microscope. I highly recommend it for biology, chemistry, and physics studies.

I was pretty impressed with this at lower magnification levels, but when I tried to push the magnification levels higher, I had extreme difficulty finding any semblance of focus. And before anyone says, "You have to adjust (close) the aperture iris at higher mag levels.", yes, I know that, I've actually used binocular microscopes professionally. The problem is, when I start to close the iris down to a point where I can almost get focus, I'm running out of light to see the image. At 100% illumination. It's like, the scope needs a REAL light source. Like, they put in a 1/4 watt white LED, when what it NEEDS is a 5 watt white LED. I suspect with a far more powerful light source, this would be a far more usable scope at higher magnification levels. I may one day see what I can do about modifying it with a more powerful chip. And then you have the terrible prism alignment. If you've ever used cheap binoculars, where you look through both eyepieces and see 2 separate images which kind of half-merge in the middle, and then looked through a set of QUALITY binoculars with perfect prism alignment, where you look through both eyepieces but see ONE IMAGE with perfect clarity, you know how poor the cheap binoculars seem after that. It makes you want to toss the cheap 'nocs in the trash. Many do.Having spent time looking through binocular microscopes that cost 5x what this costs (or more), gazing through this is a headache. The intra-ocular spacing (the space between your eyes) is all the way closed for me, and I don't have narrow eyes. If you DO have narrow intra-ocular spacing, you will have problems seeing through this. With an under-powered light, horrible prism alignment, and focusing problems at power, why then did I rate it 3 stars, rather than, say, 1 or 2? Because the fact it comes with a digital eyepiece that can throw your image up on the screen of your PC. It makes it useful as a MONOCULAR microscope (albeit at lower powers) with digital hookup and simulcast and/or recording, and that's at the very least useful, and it works fairly well at that.My suggestion is to seriously ramp up the light power of this scope just to BEGIN to get it ironed out. Honestly, if you're seeking high power mag levels, I suggest you look at something with a more powerful light source. But if lower mag levels are where you're at (and a lot of folks do their scope work at low mag levels, like electronics techs), then you might actually find a good use for this scope. It's well made, has a ton of features (like X-Y axis slide table adjustment and left/right handed macro/fine tune focus) and decent optics (at lower power levels). Not perfect, but not bad for many things.

It was a gift for my granddaughter. She loves it. She said it’s better quality than the one she uses in high school.
