There are four prongs to attach to a structure to keep the papers from touching on each shelf. Two prongs are connected and the other two are not connected to anything. The structure is very flimsy and each shelf will not hold more than construction paper weight before it falls into another shelf and ruins the artwork.

Honestly, this rack shouldn’t be a penny over twenty dollars. The quality is lacking, it’s not sturdy at all. It also was somewhat difficult to assemble. I do not recommend and I’m disappointed that I spent that much on this product.

It would be OK if you are just storing a sheet of paper on each rack, but I wanted to store aluminium composite panels, which are very light, but it still couldn't adequately handle even that weight. I ended up taping two racks together to create a triangle to get enough strength, though of course this cuts the number of items I can store in half.It also took a long time for it to be delivered to me in Australia. According to the tracking information it arrived in the country and then spent a week just sitting there.

For $79 I would expect the rack to not be made of cheap wire that warps. The racks do not lay flat and evenly spaced, so it makes it difficult for students to place artwork in as they have to lift up the racks that are laying on each other. Quality racks have foam spacers in between the layers to hold them apart. The racks on each side use only tension to stay attached to the frame, so they fall out anytime the rack gets moved. The spacing on the racks also makes it impossible to use for anything smaller than 8.5x11 as they fall through the large gaps. Just not a great option for use in an art class, especially for the price.
