This MESR-100 V2 auto-ranging capacitor ESR and low Ohm meter measuring range from 0.001 to 100.0R, support in circuit testing.
- Using true 100 KHz sine wave to measure the ESR value, which is equal to the testing method of capacitor manufacturer.
- It is a series resistor inside capacitor, using 100kHz to remove the impedance 1/(2*pi*F*C)
- The impedance become small, and we can then measure the true series resistor value.
- Using this theory, we can measure the capacitor is bad/ damaged or good in condition.

MESR-100 V2 Auto-ranging Capacitor ESR
- Our capacitance esr meter only applies less than 15mV DC or peak to peak on a good capacitor, as a result we can use it as in circuit test.

A must have tool in the workshop for anyone interested in knowing the values of capacitors. without taking them off the board, have seen others with very mixed results but this one is on the money every time well worth buying. You will see what I mean in the headline when you buy it the leads are just plugs after all and suffer from weak connection and this can be seen to great effect when you are zeroing the device but as long as you do not move the cables about after zeroing then the reading is spot-on, my advice buy it and be glad that you did.

Nice to have a device that can determine resistance in a capacitor without taking out of the circuit. Works , but you will also need one that also reads actual capacitance. You really beed both. This is a solidly built device. A good buy.

This unit is reliable: if it says good, it is.....I found a bad cap in a circuit, and several that were OK. You can save time, trouble and money with this unit. I also found low-value (under ten ohms) resistors that were out of spec., and learned that it can test the health of all sorts of rechargeable batteries.
