The weatherstripping stuck well to the existing rubber weatherstripping on an older vehicle. It was easy to remove the backing and line up with the existing weatherstripping. It has stayed in place since then, even with cold weather.

It's open cell which isn't ideal but it's the only one I could find that has the softness I need. Unfortunately the adhesive is a pretty terrible. It holds but is an absolute mess to remove even if you have to peel it off seconds later to readjust. Spend a few extra dollars and get a better adhesive backing for your product.

I got this to replace the foam tape going around the duct work on the dash of my GM truck. Measured the OE stuff, and while this is a hair wider (totally doesn't matter in that direction) it's a perfect fit for that. Adhesive stuck quite well after cleaning off my old stuff and getting ANY dirt/dust off. Not cleaning it enough is a sure fire way to make your day not end well. The package is so big, you could do your whole car and 10 of your buddies vehicles as well! :D

This stuff is great, cheap and easy to use. Don't need to worry so much about measurements cause it compresses so well. Its sticky enough to stay in place, but not super sticky. It won't hold up to any kind of abuse so make sure being squeezed down is the only force it ever sees.

Not easy to cleanly get the backing off of it, which is annoying, but does its job once stuck

Pessimo acquisto, il nastro è rifilato in maniera a dir poco approssimativa, l'imballo ridicolo per cui il nastro è arrivato tutto scombinato, non vale assolutamente la spesa. Mi aspettavo un prodotto professionale invece......

My wife & I designed & built a two story passive solar home back in 1986 and it has about 36 Weather Shield casement windows (wood frame) triple glased low E coating, etc. We went with these because at the time they gave the tighest air seal and were the most energy effivcient of anything on the market. Now most of the vinyl seals have deteriorated or fallen off due to aging oxidation and UV damage. I've tried many types of adhesive backed foam tape and the M-D Building products 02071 works best because it is easily compressed. This stuff doesn't seem to be available any more in the usual hardware supply stores like Home Depot, Lowes, Ace, etc. They only carry the higher desity foam which just doesn't work. I actually need to run two parallel strips of this foam tape around the inside perimeter of each window frame. The strips are separated by a 1/2 inch air gap. The low density M-D foam compresses easily so my windows close far enough to engage the lever latch on the inside that pulls the window tight against the frame and locks the window closed. These two parallel runs get the window close or equal to the original seal and I'm pretty happy with the result. I'm just glad that M-D still makes it and it's available on Amazon. I bought 30 packs of this with 17 ft in each pack. I think I'll spend the rest of this summer and next fall gettting this project completed but it will be well worth it. It's amazing how much air and dust can get into the house if your windows and doors aren't air tight. I also plan to use this tape around the old magnetic door seals.
