I have used these to remove and mount 4 motorcycle tires with a Mayflower tire machine. They're easy enough to install and do a good job of holding the wheel during the process without causing any scuffing. I only had them slip once when I got a bit lazy and only had about 60psi to clamp the wheel to the machine, but I was still able to complete the installation. I've also been able to use them to dismount and mount a tire onto an 8" mower wheel.

I was hesitant to buy these as several other reviewers had said they broke soon after install. I managed to get one tire halfway on before the plastic grip broke off. It wasn't even under a heavy load at the time. I've spent 28 years working on cars and have done tens of thousands of tires in my time so I know how to use the machine. There's a reason the clamps on the machine are metal, not plastic. The plastic on these is bound to break as it simply cannot be strong enough to withstand the stresses of a tire machine. I ordered a different manufacturers clamps that are 100% metal to do the job.

Attachment could use soft rubber to hold rim more secure. When changing tires the rim likes to stop spinning while attachment spins and potentially scratch rim

At the time I bought these there was only one review. The review was 1 star. I was a bit apprehensive about ordering these for that reason. After reading the review though, I was not certain it was an accurate portrayal of the products quality or usefulness. Because of this, I decided to try them for myself.I'm glad I did because they fit and work perfectly. I bought the Mayflower rim clamp tire changer and bought these as companion pieces to that changer. As stated they fit and work perfectly and are also well made. I see no reason at all not to buy these. I dont know whether or not they will fit or work with other brands of tire changer, but I know first hand they work perfectly on the Mayflower.Update: I've had a chance now to use these quite a few times. I'm not a shop so they dont get heavy use but I've probably changed between 10 and 15 motorcycle tires with it now. I'm happy to report they have worked perfectly and are holding up great.
