I got this adapter for my harbor freight tire changer with some skepticism ( thought it would be flimsy ) but it's really made pretty solid, haven't used it yet but I'm optimistic about it now, time will tell. It was reasonably priced as well.

When removing or mounting tire from rim, go the correct direction and not the other way. Use lock down straps at least two for low profile tires and one strap for high profile tires.

This tool will not inspire you with confidence when it comes to dismounting or mounting a tire on an expensive rim.I found it difficult to get the duck head to stay properly seated around the rim while removing a couple of tires. I managed to get it to work but with a great deal of frustration.I soon learned this tool is completely useless when attempting to mount a new tire to a rim. It needed adjustment every couple of inches and was wobbly. My sense is it's just not rugged enough for its intended purpose.

It was a little hard to use at first. It was too loose where you slide it over the 2 inch post on tire changer. I put a clamp on top of tire changer so it would be more steady. Worked great after I did that. Would recommend with a little bit of modication.

Very sloppy on the fit, hardware sucks, the duck bill isn't wide enough and the tire will not hold over top of it. The cylinder binds, its just not a good one.

This makes changing tires so much easier. I suggest getting a "Manual tire changer centering cone" as well and watching a video on YouTube before using it. Search for "How To Use a Manual Tire Changer Adapter". My only gripe is the rod for the duck head. It doesn't feel that solid. I will replace it with a square pipe.

this makes it so much easier to install the tire. some commented the bar bends. i can only assume they are using a pry bar on the upper tube to move the duckbill around the tire. i place the bar against the duckbill to push as i rotate around the center pole just like you would normally. works like a charm!

this tool is and will be worth the money only thing you have to get more for it the lock collars and needle bearings and brass bushings for your tool to spin and lock on to the part of the harbor fright tools tire remover i like it so far have to get a few more extra things for it as I said but should be worth it at the end

I was in a hurry and didn't want to build one so I opted for this cheapo bracket. I already had the Duck head. It works good. I didn't see any problem being lighter duty than some of the others. All it needs to do is hold the head against the rim and once the tire is over it it sorta holds itself in place. No need to spend more money. I'm using mine on an old coats machine.

this cost more than the HF tire changer base, but still, it is the cheapest I can find on the internet of the same kind. the metal is strong enough to serve what it is supposed to. I used it to unmount and mount light truck AT tires with no issue at all.

Bought the Red Duck Head that was suggested by Amazon, and it does not fit. Holes are off by a full 1/4in. So that forces me to modify it or send it back and wait on Amazon's sketchy delivery. Better off paying the extra for the one sold with the kit. If that one doesn't fit, you could blame it on a person instead of dealing with Amazon's never ending excuses as to why it doesn't fit/work/ship or arrive. That said... The actual armature and assembly look and feel sturdy. The welds are nice, and it has a good finish. Just wish they could identify the brand of duck head as so many are just weak plastic and will never hold up to the abuse the part is designed to take.
