Hm, I dont know. Vertical and horizontal stripes are held together by 4 rivets. I tried it with magnet - they are made of non-magnetic metal. Not sure if it is aluminum or something else. I guess it would make sense since the whole thing is made of aluminum, it is just IDK how long till those rivers get loosen and square is no longer 90°

This square isn't square. It's off by 1/32" at 16 inches or so. So the inaccuracy will continue to grow as you go further out. So why do I give it 5 stars when it isn't square? Because for drywall, that level of accuracy isn't required. You *need* gaps for mud anyway so what does it matter. I took a chance and ordered to see if I can make my tracksaw's crosscut to be more accurate. And it looks like it won't be accurate enough for that. I can't ding them on an application it wasn't designed for. It seems solid, there are multiple rivets at the attachment point, and the extra thickness is much appreciated. It's just not accurate enough for woodworking though.
