It’s made with light aluminum which dents easy, and doesn’t hold up. It didn’t work well for the carpenter I bought it for. Scrapes easy because it’s such a lightweight metal. Maybe if it was steel it would hold up better. After a few uses, the writing starting to scratch off. It is cheap money wise and easy to carry. But wasn’t for us.

I got these to make my husbands life a little easier when I give him a honey do list. They function great, seem to be a great quality, they fit nice, have many more uses than what they are made for, easy to use, and my husband said they are as accurate as you put them. Over all great for the price. Would buy again and recommend

Stair gauges are are an incredibly simple tool, but very useful if you need them. These are very typical stair gauges, all metal and a bit taller than most. For me the big news with these is the CNC'ed aluminum holder that the two stair gauges screw onto to securely hold them and keep them together and organized.A simple, well made tool at a fair price.
