About this item

  • Durable Material - The rafter square is die-cast from heavy-gauge aluminum alloy which enables it to last long and still give an accurate measurement. The combination ruler itself is die-cast from zinc alloy and carries a steel ruler made of stainless steel with a matte finish
  • Clearly Identifiable Scale - The rafter square finishing features low glare and protective powder coated. It has permanent deep markings and white graduations for maximum readability in any lighting. The stainless steel ruler of the combination square has a deep etching scale for superior legibility and long-lasting usage
  • Multiple Graduation - The 7-inch rafter square has many kinds of graduation which blends the features of framing square, try square, miter square, and protractor square. The combination square has a 12-inch stainless steel ruler which has 3 types of minimum scale values: 1/16โ€, 1/32โ€, and 1mm
  • User-Friendly - Lipped fence allows you to easily brace the rafter square flush with the wood, creating a straight or angled line that is proportionate to the wood's edge. The spring screw of the combination square makes it easier to detach the stainless steel ruler and the smooth ruler is easier to slide for your measurement
  • Wide Versatility - Easy-to-read level vial and a metal scriber on the side of the combination ruler increase product practicality and versatility. The rafter square can be used as a guide for cross-cutting lumber. They both work accurately at an angle of 90 degrees or 45 degrees

I like the thick metal and stiff ruler. The notched on the rafter square is a nice touch for marking the dimensions at 1/4 inch intervals. The marking is clear and large. The thickness is right as a guide for circular saw. The price is reasonable.

These are essential tools that I use routinely in my shop, and these are accurate and get the job done nicely. I like the clear readable markings on them (much easier to see than on some more expensive version of them). Perhaps they wonโ€™t last for 20 years (too soon for me to say), but at this low price I donโ€™t mind that possibility.

I have several different products from WorkPro in my shop that I use every day. The quality is great and these squares are perfect. I have several different sizes and they are all perfect.

I had been watching for a decent deal on a speed square for woodworking, and this set seemed to fit the bill based on the reviews, so I took a chance on it. My overall opinion is positive, and these are working well for me. I just have two minor complaints after using them for two weeks, thus 4 stars rather than 5, but I can easily recommend this set for woodworking.Complaint #1: the impressions made to facilitate the markings and numbers on the speed square were made in such a way that they left small ripples along the edge (see pic), not big enough to significantly affect the accuracy of the lines being drawn, but still annoying. (The angle of the pic actually makes it look worse than it is, sorry about that.)Complaint #2: The inch markings on the combination square are not as easy to read as they could be. They used short lines for 32nds, slightly longer for 16ths, and slightly longer again for 8ths, all of which is good, but they left all of the 8ths, quarters, and halves the same length, which requires extra time to ensure the right mark is being used. The mm side is fine, with small marks for each mm, and slightly higher marks for each five and ten.Accuracy: I'm using these for woodworking, not metal machining, so I only performed a rudimentary test to verify accuracy: drawing parallel lines using the square in both orientations along a straight edge. As you can see in the pic, they're pretty square. When I nested the speed square into the combination square, I could see a small gap, so I measured the distance between the lines at both ends the best I could with a calipers, and it appears that the speed square is out a few thousandths of an inch over its length, but that's not an issue for woodworking. The combination square is dead on.

A really solid build. Great price for exactly what you need. The incremental guidelines work perfectly for creating long straight lines parallel with the edge of any work piece.
