I'm surprised and happy that these exist. I headed down to the lumber yard to get 2" x 8" in 10-foot lengths, and I'm glad that I did. The 10-feet lengths are, admittedly, a chore to store and to strap down hanging out of the pickup bed, but the lower angle they put the ramp at is so worth it for a nice easy clutch-modulation to get the bike up the ramp. In fact, I don't think that I used the throttle at all, just slipped the clutch from idle to get the 360-pound motorcycle up the ramp.Pictured are the ramp-ends on a pickup-bed tailgate that is about 32 inches high. Also pictured are the two eye-bolts I bought from the big orange box store. I drilled smaller pilot holes for those. Also pictured is the ratchet-strap to the rear bumper from the eye-bolts for securing it (too many videos of people having their ramps jut out from beneath the bikes - don't be that person, lol). Lastly, since I used the two 2x8's next to each other (with an object to the left of them to use as a step-up into the bed), I used an additional ratchet-strap near the base to hold the two ground-ends together.

Good addition to my garage and now I will avoid lifting a lawn mower and compressor into my truck. That’s for someone younger than me! Works great.

Used this to make a wooden ramp for my ice fishing sled to be pulled up into the truck bed. It works great. I used a 2x10 piece of wood and cut it to the length of the truck. This bolted on no problem and works great. Seems very strong.

These are pretty good, solid and heavy, easy to install if........... you have your own bolt mounting system. The provided carriage bolts are useless. There is no way to secure the square neck under the head where you can lock them down to tighten the nut. Then there are no lock washers, these are not nylon nuts. Thank goodness I have a huge wood screw kit and had some that fit with washer. The provided foam padding supposed to be for grip I assume, is just thin and tears easily. Anti-skid tape would have been a lot better. So if you have everything else I mentioned, then these are a good deal, if not, probably look for something different.

My truck is lifted so I needed to build my own ramps, the off the shelf ramps at big box stores were not long enough to safely use. These ramp ends are ideal. I picked up some 2x8x10 boards and beveled the ramp end to 15 degrees for a perfect fit. The edges are a little sharp so use some care when handling, especially if you're using boards that are less than 7.5" wide. I'll take some sandpaper to them to smooth that out, but for under $50 between the ramps and boards, you can't beat them. All hardware was included, the bolts were a bit long, you can leave them that way or cut them down once you've got everything tightened down as I did.

Good ramp ends - cost effective, if you don't use them often and don't want to spend for full ramps.

Easy to install on a 2x 8 board. Board was fairly cheap at the lumber store (only built one ramp for a light motorcycle). With price of ramp kit it all priced well below other pre-made ramps. Granted you’re stuck with a 4 or 5 foot ramp in your trailer but you can figure out how to hang it on the side of the trailer. Easy to replace the board if it even breaks. Metal parts of the kit are high quality. Good hardware too. Great alternative to an expensive pre-made ramp if you’re not picky about form and just want function.
