Hard to find these days and it will probably get worse. So I have bought 3. So far all have worked well

I tried a few of these discs. Some would not record at all. The few I did would only record a small amount. Some would record up to 35-40 minutes then say that the programI was recording was not recordable. They were home movies. When I put a new disc in, it would start recording again so it wasn’t my tapes or my machine. It was definitely these discs. Very dissatisfied.

It's still early at this point but so far not only am I unimpressed, I am reminded of why I generally prefer SONY! So far, out of SIX discs, TWO already have been horrible! ONE was a "bad disc" while the other buned erratically, pixilating at will! I rarely had this problem with either Sony or Verbatim, maybe 1 or 2 dics out of 25 but never this early! I suspect my DVD player may be partly to blame! I have an older SAMSUNG DVD player and it has always had problems playing cheap or poorly produced DVDs, including commercially purchased films on DVD! I took one of these "pixilated" DVDs I just burned, put it into my DVD burner and watched it on my computer: no problems except for a slight skip at the spot where it "pixilated" in my Samsung player! AHA, so technically, the discs AREN'T defective but they fall short in the quality department!As I mentioned, I've had no problems viewing DVDs from Sony, Verbatim or Memorex in the Samsung, mostly these Maxells; if you have a newer, less sensitive machine, you might not have any trouble!I still wish I had read more customer reviews beforehand! I also hope Amazon can get some more SONY DVDs, my aching scalp, which has suffered from my constantly trying to tear my hair out in frustration, will highly appreciate it!

When I uhpacked the items delivered, I found that the bottom part of the container completely broke off. The shipping and handling works of Amazon.ca is such horrible and terrible. I seriously consider of making on-line shopping with companies other than Amazon.ca.

The Maxell 50-pack came in on time, and the packaging was ok. This size ships in a sturdy plastic tube, vs the 100-pack and its flimsy wrapper. The outside box had a few inflated bubbles to keep the worst bangs insulated. After filling a handful of these, there have been no coasters. This brand has been the best quality (no bad burns), even on a dusty old recorder that killed other brand DVDs.

Not a lot to say here, the disks burned perfectly at max speed every time. Every disk burned has worked on every machine I've used them with aside from one dvd player that was one of the first generation type. And honestly that was no surprise.Price wasn't bad, shipping was quick, and packaging was good. They're worth it.

Works fine...haven't had any bad discs. Was very pleased with the quality. I have purchased other name brand discs in the past and ended up throwing up close to half of them since they were defective and my DVD player could not read them. From my experience, these were good.

This brand of DVD+r recording material is and has always been a true favorite of mine. I've found with other brands of blank DVD media there is always at least one dud (a band DVD-cd) within the spindle. This product always has been reliable and I would certainly recommend to any one. Personally, DVD+rs are far more superior to DVD-rs. Most because they can be played in both a computer and a regular DVD player. DVD-rs never seem to make the par. In short, I couldn't be happier. I will definitely stick with this brand of blank DVD medium. That is unless they come up with something better to replace it!

I have a Lite On LVW-5001 DVD Recorder and I've found Maxell DVD+R or RW disk work the best. I like the 4X speed better because you can record up to 6 hours but the 8X disk will only record 4 hours without skips. My Lite On will record up to 8X speed and only + NOT - DVD's so make sure you obtain the right disks. Some brands still don't work even if you get the right type. I have had some problems with Memorex but I couldn't get Ridata to record at all, I hope this info will help you make a wise selection.(...)
