For some reason I received one out of two ores. I've been waiting and of course need the other one so I'm able to row my boat to where I want to go rather in circles. Please send me my other ore. The one I received is quality wood ore. I like it. I do wish to have a matching pair. You have sent the second one out but I have not got it yet! Please look into it for me! My grand kids will be happy too!

I received two identical oars. They feel good to the touch. They feel sturdy and should work well. I haven't tried them out yet because while I have received the oar locks, I have not received the inset that goes in before the oar lock. I believe these oars should get the job done well.

Very nice oars for ANY price. Wood quality appears high, finish is very nice, and grips work very well. Using on a 12ft aluminum Crestliner and they are a perfect match. Would definitely purchase again.

I do wildlife work and I do not use these a a main means of transportation. Use them mainly to maneuver my boat into tight places and they do fine. Overall, the quality seem acceptable but I am not sure how useful the loose and oversized synthetic covers to the handles would be. Likewise, the wood is pretty soft and the finish is thin. Lastly, make sure you plan ahead because I had to endure a mix up in shipping with the wrong sizes coming and late deliveries. Of course, as always Amazon resolved the mix up. The real problem is that folks do not use wood oars (too heavy - LOL), which make the options limited.

These oars are not the same as the ones I bought 15 years ago (much thicker and heavier) but they did last me 15+ years with no fuss.I hope these will last half that time ! coated them with a few coats of Minwax Polycrylic, because of some of the reviews I read ! *They do what they are supposed to do !UPDATE: 2/18/2018I have had these oars 2 years now with extremely heavy uses (every weekend rain or shine till first snow) with my 14' jon boat2-3 people in the boat. I have coated these oars with some Minwax at the start of each season. I have found NOTHING wrong with these oarsi shove off the shore with them,Or hold the boat in place, these are GOOD oars just a tiny bit of TLC and these oars will look like new and last a long time !Buy em !

These oars are well made and finished. I use them on a 14 foot aluminum row boat and the 6-1/2 foot length is right for this boat. Since they are of a glued up construction I don't leave them out in the weather when not in use. All in all I'm very happy with these oars and the price for a pair was about half of what a pair cost in the local hardware.

Just received these today, haven't gotten a chance to actually use the ores, but then again they are ores so I would expect that they will be as good as any other! I feel that they are a very sturdy yet light weight, shipping was quicker than initially expected. These ores were cheaper than anywhere else I could find locally. All together very happy

These oars are what I expected. They came a little dinged up but other wise I have no complaints. The blade is three piece but that is the way all wooden oars are made. The hand grips are comfortable and although they each came packed differently, which makes me think they came from two different places, they were the same length, straight and looked made the same, with the same color wood. I did spray them with some waterproof poly but I would do that every year anyway, it helps protect them & will make them last longer. My only other complaint is thet they should specify that you need to order two in their adds. I knew that because I had a pretty good idea what a set of wooden oars cost put anyone new to boating might be fooled into thinking he was ordering a pair of oars when in fact you need to order two oars inorder to make a set. They do that so that anyone who only needs to replace one oar he doesn't need to spend the money buying a pair.
