I am not a hard body nor do I live at the gym but I do work out a few times a week to keep muscle tone and avoid deterioration that is common with my condition of Ehlers-Danlos. This condition causes collagen deficiency, thus resulting in weak/unstable joints so compression is highly recommended. With a 10.4 inch measurement, even if the chart slips me into a large, I opted to order a medium and I am glad I did.These elbow sleeves were never hard to slip on with small gaps at the openings that can be tightened with the straps. They are thick and rather heavy so if you are in the smaller size, you will need to keep that in mind. These have gotten bigger with use, there now being extra material in the elbow joint and don’t have as much compression as before which is why the loss of star but still offer stability and support to raw, weakened joints.
