Washer Free: A rubber seal is already molded onto the bolt. Rust Free: Since the bolt's head is rubber, water never comes into contact with metal. Please note: The 2" and 3" versions look similar, the only difference is size of the gaskets. Gasket measurements refer to the size flush valve they will fit.

replaced all the guts of my mansfield 162 toilet - this kit made attaching the tank back to the bowl really easy. the rubber attached screw made things simpler so I did not have to deal with washers. see before and after!

I originally purchased two different tank to bowl repair kits at a local home improvement store. Those kits contained multiple rubber and steel washers, and steel nuts that were suppose to seal the tank. I installed each set multiple times, but I was never able to stop the leakage.I could not find a label on the commode or tank showing the manufacturer's brand, but I now think it's a Mansfield 160 with a three bolt attachment. The Mansfield kit was much simpler to install, the rubber gasket fit perfectly, the three bolts each have a built in rubber seal and nylon locking nuts. This kit sealed perfectly the first time, and seems far less likely to damage the tank or bowl porcelain. There is a YouTube video from Mansfield that takes all the guesswork out of the process.

I was a bit suspect when I purchased this, based on a couple of reviews. This was listed, on the Mansfield site, as a replacement for the model 160 and it worked perfectly. Incredibly easy to install and the rubber fit/filled the holes tightly with no leakage/seepage right from the start. An installation note: install all three loosely and then gradually tighten the two sides, evenly, making them level. Tighten the rear one as well but not as tight as the side ones . . .until the side one are sufficiently tight and the tank is level left to right; then do your final tightening of the rear one, bringing it level front to back. That was the advice I was given by a plumber and it worked great.
