Product Description

MAK DOB 60MM

A design of simplicity, power and ingenuity

The Maksutov telescope is named after Dmitri Maksutov, a Soviet/Russian optician and astronomer who invented this telescope design in 1941. Though not as widely known as the refractor or Newtonian reflector, the Maksutov-Cassegrain offers superb optical performance. The design corrects the known optical problems such as coma (found in reflector telescopes) while also correcting chromatic aberration (found in refractors). The result is high-contrast detailed views of both terrestrial or celestial targets. In a extremely compact tube, the mak60 offers great viewing capacity as a beginner telescope. You can see more than just the moon! In ideal conditions, it can even help you explore Saturn, Jupiter's moons and more.

Mak60 was produced by one of the top manufacturers in the industry. It was designed with the purpose of making good optics available to the wide public. To provide good value, most budget are used on the optical components. It is not just for astronomy, but also a fun telescope for daily life uses. That's why it has a cute and vivid color.

DETAILS ABOUT THE DOB TYPE

The Dobsonion telescope is an astronomical telescope supported by a theodolite, referred to as DOB.

Designed and produced by the famous American astronomy science activist John Dobson (John Dobson) in the 1950s.

It's structure is simple, sturdy and easy to carry. The 3 legs can be extended and retracted freely by screws, saving storage space.

The Sarblue Maksutov Dobsonian Telescopes comes equipped with an industry standard dovetail plate for use with virtually all telescope mounts.

It also can be mounted to a full size tripod after remove the dovetail, which can be removed easy.

With standard 1/4 inch screw hole at the bottom, the telescope tube can be mounted on most of other tripods. If needed, you can use different tripod to satisfy different viewing needs.

IF YOU LIKE, THEY WILL LIKE

In order to meet customers' requirements for packaging aesthetics, we have designed a gift box for this telescope. The appearance is simple and atmospheric, and the handle is increased, which makes it very easy for you to pick up and put down. The pearl sponge damping configuration inside reduces friction and can effectively protect the telescope.

PHONE ADAPTER DESIGN

The phone holder for the telescope is compatible with almost all phones and very easy to set up. Align the main camera of your phone to the hole in the adapter.

Slowly turn the focus knob until you get a sharp view. It is smoothly and stable due to the Maksutov-Cassegrain design.

CONVENIENCE FINDER SCOPE

There are two triangle humps on the tube to help you aim at your target. Position your eye at the end of the telescope and adjust the telescope until the two triangular humps and the target overlap with each other.

There comes with a finder scope also. It can be mounted easier and focus more convenient.

LOTS FUN WITH MAK 60 DOB

A multipurpose fun telescope for daily life uses

The planet mate 60 telescope features an extremely compact tube due to the Maksutov-Cassegrain mechanism. It's very lightweight and portable, making it a good choice for travel and do stargazing on your journey.

This telescope is equipped with an erect-image diagonal to enable terrestrial viewing. The high quality optics brings crystal-clear high-contrast viewing with almost no aberrations.

The novel design of a detachable lid which reveals the internal structure of the telescope makes it great for education. You can even see how light travels with some tools.

Despite the toy-like appearance, this is a real telescope capable of resolving planetary objects very well. Bought as a holiday gift for my six-year old daughter, very satisfied.

First telescope to use with my family. I love the sturdiness and how compact it is. I’ve used it set on a table, the car, and even my porch railing. Love the phone holder adapter so my 4 year old can easily see and enjoy it too. Just took some trial and error of which camera to use on my iPhone. For the price, this telescope is amazing!

The scope seems to function fine. I have tried it at various times of the early AM and only could see stars, no planets. I hope to find some planets to really test it on at some point. I am a total noobie to telescopes and astrophotography; one thing to note if you want to take pictures with your phone is that it doesn't really seem compatible with mine, as it has three lenses and the adapter is really meant for a single lens. Attempts with it didn't work out; but it's also hard to get my phone's camera to really see anything in the dark. The adapter does hold my phone, however. If the scope is pointed at a sharp angle or straight up, the phone may cause it to fall over, as the scope is that light lol. So maybe some way of tying down the mount might be a good idea. The magnification doesn't really seem all that significant, and the one time I looked at the moon I'm not sure I could see craters that significantly. I don't believe there is anything wrong with the product however, as I looked inside and it all seemed in order. In any case it can probably be modified for that purpose. I definitely think it's a great deal for this price point.

Idk who rights these reviews but I wasted my time reading them and bought this junk. This is a cheaply made $5 dollar telescope. Made it China like most most but poorly made. It's not stable at all. I mean maybe good for looking down a road or across a river something closer than in space. My 25 $ binoculars are better to look through. I felt ripped off after opening it up. Let me mention I'm not a pro not even a novice . I'm an amateur at this stuff. Thought I could by a small scope to keep at my parents . This isn't the one. I'll be returning this . There needs to be regulation on the cost of China junk being sold here.

I went to see the total solar eclipse of 2017 with a pair of 15x80 binoculars (with filters, of course) and was totally blown away. I just wished I'd had a more stable view, but I couldn't get my tripod working the way I wanted so I just had to hold it. This April I'm going to see the total solar eclipse again, and I really wanted a telescope so I could get a really nice, stable view. After going through two other much bigger scopes - an equatorial mounted 130mm which proved too incomprehensible for my smooth brain, followed by a computerized az-alt mounted 130mm - I suddenly realized there was no feasible way I was going to be able to bring such a huge telescope + mount + tripod with me on the plane. I also didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars on a Pelican case, so I realized I'd have to just downgrade to a smaller scope. After reading a bunch of reviews online I settled on this tiny little thing. I was initially skeptical (it looks like a toy!), but after fiddling around a bit I gotta say I'm pretty impressed by the optics, the clarity, and the ease of use. Super easy to put together, super portable, and folds up really nice into something not much bigger than a water bottle. It's pretty nice too that the optical tube mounts easily to any tripod, and has a simple smartphone mount to boot so I can snap some neat pics. I'm looking forward to popping a solar filter on it and taking it to see the eclipse in April!

I bought this Maksutov-Cassegrain Telescope for watching this year's solar eclipse with my children. We chose the model with the Dobsonian mount because we already have a heavy-duty camera tripod, which is much better than the tripod-scope kit. We plan to use the Dobsonian mount with a table because we can see the Moon rise from our balcony. It was great advice from Rainguy to buy a 2x Barlow lens and a 7-21 mm zoom eyepiece (the first review for the tripod-scope kit). The pictures were taken on a cell phone and are as follows:1. Magnification 37.5x2. Magnification 37.5x with a 7 mm zoom eyepiece3. Magnification 37.5x with a 21 mm zoom eyepiece4. Magnification 75x5. Magnification 75x with a 7 mm zoom eyepiece6. Magnification 75x with a 21 mm zoom eyepiece. The last photo was very hard to focus on because at the highest magnification, even a slight touch of the scope causes vibration. We definitely recommend using a remote shutter (as we did). However, the picture is very clear to the eye. All pictures were taken on a cloudy day. I think this is a great starter kit for beginners or for occasional use. Also, it is very lightweight and portable. Highly recommended!

I would like to say that I have been greatly impressed by the Mak60 telescope that I recently acquired through Amazon. I'm a beginner enthusiast of the mysteries of the night sky and the wonders of Nature. It seems that this unique optical device is able to perform extremely well in those two realms, observing in great detail colorful birds and species of the natural kingdom and putting distant celestial objects, planets, satellites, and the moon close enough to us to observe their peculiar and unique features and characteristics.I can not complete my positive view on this Maksutov piece without mentioning its simple but aesthetically attractive design, compact and practical to carry around, easy to assemble, and decent price compared to similar devices within the same price range. I am definitely happy about this acquisition to start the great adventure of observing and enjoying the night sky and the beauty of Nature.
