Product is lightweight and easy to maneuver. Not to powerful , but great for small projects . Be aware this one is not compatible with the 18 volt batteries.

It is a great tool at a great price if you have batteries already.

This brand is probably the best I’ve used, and the tools have not let me down yet. This was perfect for the floor project I just finished. I used it to trim the door jambs in order to install a floor plank underneath. I highly suggest you buy another extra 12V battery so you don’t run out of juice.

the box was taped from every corner shut. There was a part of the original box layer cut out where a shipped label once was. I was very angry I paid my hard earned money to receive a used "returned" product. I wasted my valuable time wasting resources to repack and drive out to drop this package off to UPS to get returned.

What an impressive line of tools!!!! The Makita 12v max CXT cordless line, "pound for pound" is as good as it gets in cordless power tools.First let me say Makita is a great brand, if your not familiar, I'd suggest you give them a try. It's a Japanese brand with over 100 years of history and they manufacture some of the best power tools available (IMO).This 12 volt line is perfect for home owners and pros alike. Don't get me wrong, if you're doing big jobs (building homes, commercial remodels, etc...) you're going to want the big tools. That said, these are perfect for electricians, low voltage installers (alarms, cable TV, computer networks etc...), car audio installers, professional handyman, flooring installers, painters etc...For the home owner/DYI'er these are awesome, these are very capable, light weight, professional quality tools at a reasonable price.Although I've only had this tool long enough for a few test runs, it's easy to tell this was designed tough, for daily use. The quality is second to none.It has an LED light, variable speed adjustment (1-5), and includes a 1 1/4" plunge cutting saw blade, a hex key wrench that stores on the tool, and two multi-tool adapters (to adapt to other manufactures mulit-tool blades). It does NOT include a battery or charger. Although you can purchase this tool as a kit with a battery, charger and case if you need them.Only thing I would have liked to see is the ability to store the included adapters on the tool as well. I anticipate those will get lost pretty quickly. That said, they are only required if using another brand of blade, and Makita blades are readily available in most hardware stores and are reasonably priced.
