you still have to use a disk partition tool to format a new drive before cloning it. It does not work on linux drives. All I got was 4 blinking lights when trying to clone. what do the 4 blinking lights indicate? I wouldn't know because there is nothing in the docs and not troubleshooting.

Contrary to what was stated in the product description, this will not work wtih M&B key SSDs. I tried to clone Western Digital 2TB WD Blue SA510 SATA and the unit kept flashing red. Very disappointing...

I’ve used this to clone to a larger drive twice now. Works perfectly. Note that after you clone the drive, you’ll need to use a software to move the recovery partition to the end of the drive’s bytes then expand your OS partition. I used a free software called Disk Genius to do that part. Definitely recommend this product.

Dopo aver acquistato una memoria / hard disk, Fanxiang SSD 1TB NVMe, ho comperato questa docking station per poterlo leggere, ma ho subito ripiegato, a tutela fisica della memoria, su un case a guscio, tipo Orico. Mettere in verticale questa unità (cosa che invece non accade con i dischi SSD da 2,5” molto più solidi e realmente utilizzabili in una docking station a due o più slot), offre un’idea di scarsa affidabilità e sicurezza per i dischi. Un urto accidentale, potrebbe infatti “tranciare” il disco, stante il fatto che i connettori NVME per la lettura del disco sono davvero fragili. In sintesi, questi dischi sono ottimi, sia per velocità che scrittura (anche in rapporto al prezzo), ma è meglio utilizzarli - nel caso si vogliano impiegare come memorie di massa esterne per lo storage dei dati - con questo tipo di scocca, piuttosto che con un lettore a slot che obbliga a mantenerli verticali. Poi, avevo capito che avesse DUE slot, entrambi compatibili NVMe, ma in realtà solo uno è compatibile con questo standard, mentre il secondo non lo è. Pertanto, usando spesso “in parallelo” le due memorie (una per i dati ed una per il backup), sono rimasto spiazzato. In sintesi, se decidete di come late queste belle memorie “flash” il consiglio che vi do è di NON ACQUISTARE questa docking station, ma di ripiegare su lettori a guscio tipo Orico o similari. Cosa completamente diversa, invece, per i dischi SSD da 2,5”, che possono essere agevolmente - e con grande praticità - montati su lettori docking station, a due o più slot. This little device saved me from the hassle of installing an internal drive. I have a pair of 4tb nvme drives running on this device. Google drive syncs with it seamlessly. Setup was fairly easy; read the instructions because you will have to partition the drives before using (it’s not difficult). Also, I was not forced to buy additional software; the device is virtually plug and play. I have not tried to clone my drives as I am using this device as an external hub for my nvme drives. Lastly, I’m running a pair of Samsung 990’s 4tb with heat sinks on this device.

The design of this unit needs a lot of improvement. First, the power button is in a horrible location and very easily pressed when picking up the unit. Secondly, when I used it to duplicate the first time it worked but never again. There is no good indication that the duplication even starts until it's well in progress. Documentation is limited and there's no cooling for the drives. Not worth the cost.

This thing will duplicate your drives in very little time. It's also nice to hook it up to your computer and access your SSDs like an external drive. I use it all the time to test the health of used SSDs.

This product is great it lets me read my 2tb nvme as if they where external hard drives and it can clone my all my computers and laptops on to other nvmes with no problem Works as inteneded got this as a christmas gift and could not be happier.

On ne peux pas lire 2 disques M2, donc pas de clonage possible.Les embouts USB/M2 font donc la même chose pour 7fois moins cher.

Praktische externe M.2 + NVMe M.2 Station. Ohne Software, 3 USB-C Kabel, 230V Netzteil, deutsche Anleitung. Leider ist nur einer der beiden Steckplätze für NVMe M.2 SSD geeignet. Direktes kopieren von zweier NVMe nur in der Station ist nicht möglich! Geschwindigkeit beim Übertragen von PC zur Station zu Anfang über 100MBit/s sackt dann ab auf 5 bis 30 MBit/s. Ist sicherlich auch abhängig vom angeschlossenen PC. Software zum Duplizieren eines Datenträgers ist nicht dabei, auch nicht zum Downloaden. So etwas muss dann separat erworben werden. Das Ganze natürlich aus chinesischer Produktion. Den Preis von 79,99€ finde ich etwas überzogen.

Diddo! Not a bad device at all. So, the instructions are a little confusing, but let me clear it up.1. The arrows on the device are just pointing to the little portion of the M.2, not sure who would need that but, it has nothing to do with the direction of the clone. Put your blank M.2 in the "Target" section, and your used one in the "Source".2. Anytime this does a clone, you will not be able to use any extra space on the "Target" drive. So if you are cloning a 200gb M.2 to a 1TB M.2, after the clone, it will only be a 200gb drive, and no way to expand it. So it is better to use this device as a "PM" or USB (Partition Manager) to extend the partitions before cloning with your choice of software, not the machine itself. However, if you use the machine to clone, you will know it is complete when all four lights are solid, not when the first one is solid like the directions say. Hold down the letter A or B for about five seconds to start the clone.3. If the red Error light comes on, try removing the M.2 and reinserting it, push a little down to snap it in, but be careful not to break it, it should then get a green OK light.4. And incase you don't know; you have to unplug the entire device before removing the M.2. (There is no power off button) Let it sit for about 5 minutes, otherwise you are liable to burn yourself trying to remove the drive.Conclusion: Although there are a some inconveniences with this device, I have yet to find anything else similar. Hopefully on the next build they add a power button.

Bon produit construction solide en aluminium lourd et stable. tous les accessoires sont fournis (câbles et alim 220). 2 ports sata et nvme testé pour ma part avec des 2to max je n'ai pas plus grosLe principal atout de ce produit est le bouton on/off pour moi. J'en ai un autre qui fait aussi nvme et sata sur 1 port sans bouton on/off moins cher mais c'est pour depanner en extérieur. ceux qui veulent brancher des ssd régulièrement ne veulent pas brancher débrancher de l'usb
