  • Mailbox Maide is a mechanical indicator that attaches to the outside of your mailbox that visually alerts you when you have mail.
  • No batteries or electronics needed. It will fit most mail boxes providing the ball touches the face of the mailbox door, when your mailbox door is opened, it pushes the ball and spring out of its latch and sticks up higher than the box. To reset, place the spring back in the latch with the ball touching the door.
  • You may paint the L bracket to match your mailbox color. The bright colored ping pong ball can easily be seen at distances greater than 150 ft. It is attached to your mail box using 3M industrial double sided tape, no modifications to the mailbox needed.
  • NOTE: MAILBOX TEMPERATURE MUST BE 60F or more for installation, however the unit is able to handle temps from -20F to +190F.
  • MAILBOX NOT INCLUDED.

We live more than 300ft from the road, so it works great when looking for mail delivery. We did use screws to secure it into place, didn’t trust the adhesive during Ohio winters. Ball did break during the cold weather as it’s made of plastic. I used a balloon and put it on the broken ball and secured into place. We love it but would like a different material for the plastic ball.

Sought a device that wasn't electronic and prone to problems with very cold weather. Electronic versions I have used have always failed on me. This design is totally "analog" - "old school" - just my speed. Works very well in all kinds of weather. If, as some have noted, the double stick tape starts to fail I can easily drill some holes and bolt the sucker to the mail box. Highly recommend.

It works well! it was easy to install. Now I dont have to walk all the way to the mailbox to see if mail was delivered. To bad they didnt provide at least a picture that showed the way it was mounted even though it looked simple anyway. The pictures on the Amazon site worked as a substitute

This actually works like it’s supposed to. Light weight, easy to install and can be seen from pretty far away. Just follow the simple instructions and from then on no more asking each other “did you see the mail being delivered”? Look for the yellow ball.
