easy design installs and message, its100ft from my home office window ,see mailman pull up and NO signal 9 out of 10 times, tried resetting no help, took sensor to work shop and experimented ,you have to move door 180d and pretty rough before it clicks to trigger unit. it has now taken a ride to the town dump ! back to checking mail late in day but that works every time!

Mailbox sensor and receiver work very well over our 80 yard distance. (240 feet)Adjustable volume and alerts are acceptable. The unit did come with a plastic wedge to increase the mailbox door sensor opening sensitivity. I wound up using the wedge. The only problem is that our mail person just barely opens the mailbox door (at times) and is not far enough to trigger the sensor. I would like to know if I can get/add a second wedge to use in addition to the first wedge? Or a different wedge that is taller. Otherwise everything is good. Easy installation. Battery life of sensor yet to be determined.UPDATE: Weak point is the 3 extremely small tabs that hold sensor to mounting base. Checked mail yesterday and found sensor on the ground. (Blacktop) sensor mounting tabs have Failed. Sensor is all banged up from falling off of mailbox. Sensor no longer works reliably. Need to replace sensor and mounting plate. HELP.Seller must Not read reviews. Now 5 months later and No response for a replacement sensor. NO seller contact information available. Do Not Buy.

Our mail carrier used to deliver our mail around noon, give or take an hour. Since Covid, the arrival time is all over the clock, many times as late as 9:30 PM, which is ridiculous. I needed a better method of checking my streetside mailbox other than walking out there multiple times at all hours of the day, so I found this nifty alarm. It's been installed for three days now and I can say it works as described.I'm not sure how the remote mailbox unit is powered--the directions don't say anything about a battery and I could not find a way to open the unit. I guess I'll worry about its power if it stops transmitting. Also, the inside unit has all kinds of sounds and tones available. I'm just using the most basic notification. I like that the unit has a bright light up button that comes on when the mailbox door is opened. Definitely get one of these if you need notification of mail arrival.

I bought a well known mail box alarm on Amazon (uses 2 AAA batteries) and the thing receives my neighbor's door opener. It receives the carrier frequency and not a sub carrier which the designer could have easily done by mixing a tone into the main carrier. Some have reported that it picks up stop lights (traffic lights) but is not and picking up door openers. This mail box chime does not do that. It pairs with the receiver making it secure and not receiving other wireless devices. It does have a small problem though as the tilt sensor is soldered on the board (flat) and cannot be tipped like I have done with older less powerful (useless) mailbox chimes. If the tilt sensor had a pig tales soldered on the sensor, the pig tales could be bent and the sensor could be put into the right position. So, without a surface mount soldering iron to desolder the tilt sensor, I had to build a shim to tilt the device at a 30 degree angle. This unit should have been sold with 2 plastic shims one at 15 degrees and one at 30 degrees. Both shims should be stackable to make 45 degrees. So, hopefully the designer reads this and has some company make some plastic shims for the mailbox unit.As far as range, I have it in a steal box about 115 feet away from the receiver and works just fine. The signal goes through the box, through the mail truck and back inside the house. So far… so good.As far as the transmitter battery, it is a 12 volt A23 battery and I like it better because it make the unit more compact (so do not let the special battery scare you as you can get them and replace it).I like the fact that the receiver came with 3 - 1.5 volt batteries for back up power. The backup power batteries work in parallel and not in series (meaning the backup power is only 1.5 volts and not 4.5 volts). The receiver cannot work on the batteries only and are their only so the unit does not unpair from transmitter. Also, I like the fact it came with a screw driver.ALRIGHT, HOPEFULLY THE DESIGNER IS READING THIS....... UUHHHMMM ATTENTION PLEASE!There are many pictures of people dressed up in black clothes with masks taking mail out of mail boxes on Amazon.Wow, wouldn't it occur to the desiner of these things at what «TIME» of night this would be occuring? There is one thing in common (wrong) with all of them unless it is app based. The clock is missing! Where is the clock? The designer can easily grab a cheap dollar clock (with an accurate crystal for timing) and have the display freeze when it receives the signal. The display can have a separate reset button as well to unfreeze the display back to normal time. It can be a cheap 12 hour clock (no AM/PM) as mail is delivered only in the day.SO VERSION 2.0, 3.0, 4.0000, 5.0001234 OR WHAT FRICKEN EVER VERSION YOUR ON, GARB A CHEAP CLOCK (OFF THE SHELF) AND SHOVE THE DAM THING IN THERE!!!!!Who is going to sit up all night! Man think a little bit and think it through. Think what you are posting! Where is the clock?

I licke the voice and light notification. This is my second one. First one died after a few months when the sender failed. Bought a different brand which turned out to be a pile of junk from the beginning. Hoping this one will give good service.
