It can't really carry 900 lb, not even 200 lb

I thought that 900lbs holding power was exaggerated until I put the magnet on the angle iron on my door from that holds the rock over the door. DO NOT DO THIS! I had a hard time getting it off. Maybe have to tie a chain on it to fish for iron, may pull a car up from the lake.

I got it to attempt to open an old safe with a broken electronic lock. No success. However, my grandson says he’ll use it for metal “fishing.” It’s a strong magnet and you need to be careful with it.

Works as it should. Only problem is I should have purchased a less powerful rare earth magnet. You need a winch if it attaches to something heavy.

We had a man do some repairs on the outside of our carport but he never picked up the scraps or nails. This very ‘strong’ magnet, which we hung from a short piece of rope to sweep the area, worked very well in catching those nails. We were quite surprised & impressed with its capabilities; might try it someday in fishing in a creek😉.

This magnet is really strong and very well made. The eyelet screws in a good 3/8 of an inch and stays put (I used channel locks to really crank it)
